T-Mobile Customers Only: Freebies Every Tuesday and How To Get Them

UPDATE #4: the Weekly promotions are offered per T-Mobile line, so if you have multiple lines on the same account, everyone gets the freebies. The exception so far is the T-Mobile share, only the primary account holder gets that. The other restriction is that for some things, like Vudu credit, you can only add one credit per Vudu account (an issue only if one person has two lines).

UPDATE #3 on 6/7/16 at 8:32pm ET: both the Website and the Android app are working again, so you can redeem any of the offers you may have previously missed! The four offers available are Domino’s (free 2-topping medium pizza), Wendy’s (small frosty), Vudu ($5.50 credit for use at their website), and Fandango (free ticket for the new “Warcraft” movie to watch this weekend).

You must claim/redeem these by 5am ET on Wednesday 6/8/16…

UPDATE #2 on 6/7/16 at 2:46pm ET ~ it is #FAIL everywhere. The apps, the website, the offers. It is Day #1 but still, when you are supposed to be “getting Thanked” and instead you waste your time trying to get a freebie and you get nothing, so you end up with a net negative.

UPDATE #1: You don’t have to use the iOS or Android app, there is always the T-Mobile Tuesdays website where you can login with your T-Mobile account. It has the same user interface as the mobile apps.

ORIGINAL POST (6/6/16
If you are a T-Mobile customer, starting tomorrow (6/7/16), you will get FREEBIES from T-Mobile every Tuesday. This was announced as part of the Uncarrier 11 event (see YouTube Stream, advanced to the 18 minute mark of the raw footage).

The benefits will change every week. You have to grab them on that particular Tuesday by adding them to your account. If you miss a particular Tuesday haul, it is gone, but they will have new ones every Tuesday (as long as the program continues).

For the first launch Tuesday (6/7/16), you will get four freebies without any strings attached to them, a Domino’s pizza, a Wendy sugar frostie thing, a movie rental from Vudu, and a movie ticket to the brand new movie Warcraft (based on the popularly addictive game).

Nextbit Robin drops to $300 again [limit 3]

The cloud-friendly NextBit Robin smartphone is on sale again for $300, in new condition, with a USA warranty and without any contractual obligations, in two different colors, at Amazon by Amazon actual. Limit three per color per customer.

It averages 3.9 out of 5 based on 80+ customer reviews so far, its hype is more inner-circle of Android fans than the general mythical average consumer. This was a phone born out of Kickstarter after it brought it over $1 million in pledges.

20% off Clip-On Coupon for select Numi Teas at Amazon

Once upon a time, buying grocery-type items at Amazon was simple. Now you have to navigate the insanity that is Amazon regular versus Prime Pantry versus Amazon Fresh. More irritating than that is that some items are exclusive to one of those “other things” (PrimePantry or Fresh) and you can’t buy them from the regular Amazon website. I am not talking about fresh fruit or frozen produce, but boxed products, like a box of tea!

Regardless, this post is not a rant, but a coupon. Fro a limited time Amazon has a clip-on coupon that gets you 20% off select Numi teas. Only some of the many options are eligible. The ones that are eligible for the coupon show this on their product pages, in the Price Box.

An example of an eligible item is this Chocolate Puerh, see the screenshot below of what to look for:

To find other eligible items, search for your favorites or start from the Numi featured page or look at the coupon page which however is incomplete, it does not show all the eligible items for the coupon.

If you are Redeeming Amazon Sample Boxes Credit, this magical RxBar qualifies for THREE of the CREDITS (stackable!)

If you participated in the Amazon Sample Box promotions and have the Credits now in your account waiting to be spent, there is a “magic bar”, magic in that it is eligible for THREE of the different credits, and the credits are stackable, so you can get it for nearly FREE!

This “magic bar” is none other than the RXBAR Chocolate Sea Salt flavor. When you add it to the shopping cart, three different credits activate: the Protein Bar credit, the Snack Bar credit, and the Snack Sampler credit.

You can verify this by adding the bar to the shopping cart and proceeding to your checkout page. You will see the three credits on the right hand side. Here is a screenshot of that:

When I took the screenshot above, its price was $26. As of posting time (6/6/16 PM), its price dropped to $20.80 (without Subscribe and Save), so your out of pocket is under $1.

Two select Numi Teas for $7 [ends 6/14/16]

At Whole Foods brick and mortar stores, good until Sunday 6/14/16, many (but not all) of their Numi teas are on sale with essentially a two for one promotion. You pay $7 and get two boxes of Numi tea instead one. Many flavors are participating but not all. The Puerh and Turmeric variations did not have the promotional price on them. I forgot to price-check them at the register (and they are always busy). I do not know if you have to buy two of the same kind, or mix and match participating flavors. These are boxes of 16 to 18 tea bags each.

June 5-11 Office Depot Rewards on Duracell and Pentel

The combined Office Depot and Office Max rewards program is sadly much closer to what Office Depot used to have and not what Office Max had. So no more rolling of rewards. But if it still works for you, for the week of June 5-11 in 2016, at Office Max and Depot brick and mortar stores, the Duracell battery promotion is back!

2% Cashback at Wholesale Clubs with BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa Signature (YMMV)

NOTE: This is YMMV because I don’t know how many card variations and card holders are eligible for this.

Bank Of America has expanded the cashback benefits for their BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa Signature credit card. You can now earn 2% cashback at Wholesale Clubs. This is in addition to their existing rewards which are 3% gas, 2% grocery stores. The bonus categories have a quarterly cap of $2500 in combined bonus category purchases, so if you had already been blowing the ceiling of these, you may have to readjust your rewards strategy with other cards or combine the various quarterly offers by Chase or Citibank and Discover.

June 5-11: Buy $300+ AMEX Gift Cards, Get $20 back via Easy Rebate

If you are a fan of the Staples gift card EasyRebate promotions, we have good news for you! For the shopping week of June 5-11 in 2016, at participating Staples brick and mortar stores, you can get a $20 Staples Gift Card via EasyRebate (can be submitted online, no need to mail anything in) when you purchase $300+ in American Express gift cards.

These have activation fees, so generally they are best if you can get to $300 with either one or two (most likely) gift cards. These offers have a small but very loyal following so you may need to be there Sunday AM if you want to guarantee finding the gift cards in-stock for this promotion.

Double Figures Virgin Mobile Sale on the HTC Desire 626s and Moto G

If you like budget no-contract Android phones but want to avoid the super basic models, two of the reasonable trade-off type models are on sale for double figures at Virgin Mobile. The HTC Desire 626s (the “s” is part of the model name, it’s not plural) goes for $80 with free shipping, while the entry-level version of the Motorola Moto G (3rd generation) with 1GB RAM and 8GB on-board (but it has microSD) goes for $90.

There’s also the recently released LG Stylo 2 dropping to $150, however, LG just announced a newer version of this with 3GB RAM and 1080p screen and 32GB on-board storage and fingerprint support that will eventually come to North America but does not specify which carriers or when. See Phone Area for a spec comparison of the two models. I have no clue what the price of the new Plus will be though.

You can see these and other eligible phones on sale at the Virgin Mobile website. Many of the budget phones can be purchased with Account Balance, although after their website remodeling, you may have to call-in if you want to pay with account balance. It doesn’t seem to have an option when you order with the new website. Note however that some phones are not eligible for Account Balance pay. All the iPhones are excluded, and flagship-type phones (eg the Galaxy flagships of each year) are also excluded.

The Kindle First selections for June 2016 are out: Pick One from Six

A new month is here, that’s right, it’s June 2016 and among the many things this month brings is a new selection of e-books for Prime members to pick from as part of the Kindle First program, one of the many Prime benefits.

As usual, you pick one free pre-release from a choice of six for FREE and you get to read it right now, before its official release on July 1st. Many of these end up in Kindle Unlimited (KU), so if you like more than one and you are a KU subscriber, check there once they go live.

kindlefirst_june2016

So here we go, the choices for June 2016 are:

  • “Pierced by the Sun” by Laura Esquivel, Jordi Castells in Literary Fiction
  • “The Last Woman Standing” by Thelma Adams in Historical Fiction
  • “The Temporary Agent” by Daniel Judson in Thrillers
  • “Intrusion” by Mary McCluskey in Psychological Suspense
  • “Journey’s End (Gilded Promises)” by Reenee Ryan in Romance
  • “Cold (A Joe Tiplady Thriller Book 1)” by John Sweeney in Thrillers

As usual with these, since they are brand new, there are very few reviews on the first day of the month, so if none of them stands out for you, you can simply wait for a few days and monitor the reviews to see if anyone emerges as a good candidate. You have until 6/30/16 to pick one of these, so there’s no rush. They won’t run out of e-books 🙂

Update: The $8 Starbucks PowerLunch extended until 6/26/16

Good news if you liked the $8 Starbucks “Power Lunch” 4-item promotion! It has been extended until June 26 in 2016 at participating stores! If you normally buy a $6+ food item at Starbucks, this is pretty much a great deal because you would be getting three more items for just $2 more.

IF you are not familiar with this promotion, check our previous post that goes on about it in detail.

[DEAD] Lucky Rewards: FREE Yoplait Greek Yogurt (ends 6/7/16)

This weekly promotion expired on 6/7/16…
