$4 Coloring Book for Angry Adults

Are you angry? Do you feel road rage even while sitting on a comfy couch? Perhaps what you need is a coloring book to channel and release your anger? It is the “Calm Your Tits: 40 Hilarious Road Rage Coloring Book for Adults”, back on sale again, going for just $4 in new condition, in paperback, at amazon.com.

Better yet, there is no realistic limit, you can buy up to 80 units per customer. But even if you get one, and if you are a Prime member, you get free 2-day shipping. Shhh, don’t tell Amazon ~ they are not ADD-ON items at the moment πŸ™‚

It averages 4.8 out of 5 based on ten customer reviews. Note that there is foul language in this, so it may be appropriate for kids or language-sensitive adults!

Ben and Jerry Ice Cream Pints for $2.49 each [must buy them in 4s]

Good news if you like Ben and Jerry ice cream. Bad news if you are counting calories! At Smart and Final brick and mortar stores, good until Tuesday July 25 (2017), the Ben and Jerry Great Temptation of 2017 is back! You can buy pints of Ben and Jerry ice cream (16 oz) for $2.49 each! There is only one catch, you must buy them in multiples of four. Meaning you buy four, or eight, or twelve, and so forth. This is a volume buy discount. If you buy only one or two or three, you pay for $3.49 each instead of $2.49. That’s not a bad price either, but $2.49 is better πŸ™‚

This sale is a good opportunity to try different kinds of Ben and Jerry. Don’t buy all four of your favorite. Be adventurous! Try a new flavor πŸ™‚

Big 5 Coupon in Mailbox Mailers: $10 off $30+ at B&M

If you are getting coupon mailers with your mail, don’t toss them away so quickly. One of those, I think those that come in a blue envelope, include a new coupon for BIG 5 brick and mortar stores. You get $10 off a purchase of $30+. The coupon cannot be used online, only at their stores. The coupon I got expires 7/31/17.

T-Mobile Tuesdays for July 25 include a free Towel (!)

T-Mobiles plans, prices and attitude may be becoming more and more like AT&T and Verizon, but their T-Mobile Tuesdays continue! Their July 25 (2017) includes actual towels, with giant T-Mobile Tuesdays verbiage on them, and you can pick these up at your local brick-and-store T-Mobile stores.

The other freebie of this week is a free Disney e-book from Story Central.

The other three offers are “coupons”. The most interesting one is a brick and mortar one as well. You get 25% off select Samsung accessories. You are limited to the inventory available at your local store and by what items are participating in the promotion. Still, if you are part of the Samsung ecosystem, and you want to buy an accessory that has more or less similar prices everywhere, this is a good opportunity.

The other two coupons are returning from previous weeks, 25% off at Papa Johns pizza, and at a hotels website.

How to get your first FREE drink by installing the Peetnik Rewards app [updated]

It didn’t take long! As I mentioned earlier, Peets has now widely launched their Peetnick Rewards program, with a GooglePLAY app too, not just the initial soft launch that was iOS-only.

To encourage people downloading the app, they are offering a free drink when you install it for the first time. Here’s how to get your free drink:

Peets Launches Peetnik Rewards app more widely with GooglePLAY and iOS

Some Peet’s Coffee region were already beta-running on their new Peetnik rewards program, but now there is a wider launch of this new program, and better yet, apps are available not only for iOS (that was the initial launch) but also GooglePLAY. Their Android app is developed by Paytronix judging by the app ID in the url πŸ™‚

The rewards program is closer to the original Starbucks reward. You earn rewards with check-ins, not the purchase amount. Fifteen check-ins get you a FREE beverage. But more importantly, to celebrate the launch, you earn a FREE drink immediately after your first check-in. This is a one time bonus to encourage everyone to install the app and use it. Good idea πŸ™‚

You also get one free every year unconditionally, on your birthday! I haven’t used it yet, more details on this after I install and use it πŸ™‚ Here’s an annotated explainer of the benefits from their email; I am highlighting the important parts:

Buy Two Google Play Gift Cards, Get $5 Walgreens Gift Card

Good until Saturday night 7/22/17, at your local Walgreens brick and mortar stores, you can get a free $5 Walgreens gift card, if you purchase any two Google Play, or NIKE or Spa Week gift cards. This is promising because there are $10 Google Play gift cards, so you can pay $20 (two $10 gift cards) and get a $5 Walgreens gift card.

Assuming you have no problem spending the Walgreens gift card, that’s a $5 return on a $20 investment, a 25% return or virtual discount, however you want to account for it! You need to be a Walgreens rewards member, which is free to join.

I don’t know how many of these you can do during this week. I haven’t done this yet, but I’m planning to do this (unless I forget).

Free until July 19: Kushiel’s Dart fantasy e-book

If you like free, you have until Wednesday night on July 19 in 2017 to grab a DRM-free copy of Jacqueline Carey’s epic fantasy book, “Kushiel’s Dart” through the Tor eBook Club. All you have to do is give them your email to download it.

You can download it in DRM-free ePUB and MOBI. You can download one or both formats. MOBI is for Kindles, ePUB for everything else. This is book #1 in a series, it is not a stand-alone story, so keep that in mind if you prefer stand-alone books. You are definitely getting your money’s worth, it is over 900 pages long πŸ™‚

It is free and you have nothing to lose by getting it, but if you want to read reviews first, it has over 760 of them at amazon.com where it averages 4.3 out of 5.

I haven’t read this yet, so I know nothing (Jon Snow) about it.

Fila Men’s Decimus 3 Training Shoe for $25 w/free S&H

Al Bundy is now an eBay shoe salesman πŸ™‚ It’s another athletic shoe sale from FILA’s eBay Outlet store, it is the new condition (with box) Fila Men’s Decimus 3 Training Shoe on sale for $25 with free shipping for all. It is available in sizes 7 through 13, with some half numbers in-between as well. Limit five per customer. It is only available in one color scheme (white, gray, black).

I’ve had good luck with my two purchases from the FILA eBay Outlet. I haven’t bought this particular shoe, but I have an unboxing post for a different model ~ so you can see what you can expect to receive.

Note that this is not Prime shipping, so if you select the default shipping option it may take up to two weeks depending on where you are. Shoes take up space which means more expensive shipping for faster delivery options πŸ™‚

Amazon launched $12 Sample Box for Dogs (food and treats)

Amazon appears to be loving the Sample Boxes idea, because they have launched a brand new one, these one offering treats and food for dogs. Now the puppies can really wait by the door for their very own Amazon package πŸ™‚

As before, these offers are restricted to Prime members only. The promotion works just like the other sample boxes.

  1. Buy the $12 Sample Box – you pay full price
  2. you receive the sample box – I believe it has only one shipping delivery speed, you can’t change it
  3. one week after your $12 box ships, Amazon will post a $12 promotional credit to your Amazon account. They will send you an email informing you so
  4. once the credit is in your account, you can use it towards the purchase of eligible dog food products. Over 110 items are eligible as of the time of writing. You cannot use the credit on any Amazon purchase. Only these participating products which are often the brands you get in the Sample box
  5. the promotional credit has an expiration credit, so pay attention to that. You can use it in multiple transactions, you don’t have to use it all at once

RoomMates Palm Tree Peel and Stick Wall Mural for $5.50

Sometimes vacation can just be a state of mind. Or simply a picture on the wall. Or a removable wall mural, so you can change locations depending on season or mood πŸ™‚ With all that as intro, we have a pretty good deal at the moment at Amazon if you like peel-and-stick wall papers!

The RoomMates Palm Tree Peel and Stick Wall Mural, model RMK3438PSM, is on sale for $5.50 each, with a limit of half a dozen per customer. This is delivered as two 18×60 inch panels, which, when become 36×60 inches when you stick it to the wall. The assembly is simple, peel and stick. You can remove them at any time and stick them at other locations.

To be clear, you only get one final picture. It comes in two halves. You can’t use the halves on their own since they would be half the picture on the X axis.

There are no customer reviews of this yet. Note however that this is an ADD-ON item at the moment, so you must needs place a $25+ order, otherwise Amazon’s shopping cart will say NYET if you try to buy it.

Starbucks After 2pm DASH returns July 18-24 (2017)

Starbucks wants, once again, to encourage customers to visit more often in the afternoon, so if you are participating in their Rewards program, check your emails or the app for an offer to manually join a new “After 2pm DASH” promotion. You earn bonus stars depending on how many purchases you make after 2pm local time between July 18-24 in 2017.

You must first click the “JOIN” button in the email or touch the appropriate thing in their app (if the offer is offered through it ~ I haven’t checked). Just like previous times this had been offered, you earn the most bang for your buck at the 6+ visits tier, so if you are at the 4 visit tier, make sure you make a couple more purchases to essentially double your bonus!

T-Mobile Tuesdays have a good set of actual freebies for 7/18/17

They are back in form! The T-Mobile Tuesday offers for Tuesday 7/18/17 have actual freebies! This is a good set of freebies too! You get the returning $5.50 Vudu store credit, which you can use any which way you like – you can rent movies, or buy TV shows or movies. This is an actual credit, so if they have a 10c sale on movies (which they often do these days to celebrate their 10 year anniversary), you can rent them all and still have credit left for other purchases or rentals. This is very nice, unlike the FandangoNOW credit which can only be spent on a single item. Good on Vudu!

But wait, there’s more good freebies! Using the Bookshout e-book service (this is a promotional type of a website that is designed for giveaways ~ it seems) you can get an e-book on the lovely National Parks. And this is a brand name ebook, by National Geographic which is also sponsoring some of the prizes of the day.

And there’s more! The aptly named FreePrints app is offering a dozen free prints and more importantly, they come with free shipping too. Ten of them are the standard 4×6 size, while two are the larger 5×7 inch.

Rounding out the action are two coupons, 25% off at Papa Johns (better ingredients [allegedly], better pizza [allegedly]), and 25% off at a hotel booking service.

Free shipping at Peets with coupon until 7/16/17

One of the silver lining of Peet’s Coffee having new rich parents is that it can afford more promotions and take more chances. Although apparently the new rich parents did not give them a big enough allowance to make working apps for iOS and Android *meow*

Anyway, good until 7/16/17, coupon code FREESHIP17 gets you free shipping sitewide at their website. This is especially of interest if you have favorite items you want to buy, or if you want to check what’s on sale/clearance. The $11 travel press-cup, and the $15 tea-press look like good deals with free shipping included.

How to get a discount on an HBO Now Subscription

For cordcutters, HBO has a rather generous 30-day free trial, but once they hook you in, then their monthly fee is $15, which for some may be too much, especially if you don’t watch every show and high profile movie they offer there. So, is there a way to get a discount for that?

The answer is YES, but it is an indirect way of getting a discount. You sign-up and pay for your subscription through GooglePLAY. Why GooglePLAY? Because they allow you to pay for monthly subscriptions with your gift card balance. You don’t have to pay with a credit card or debit card.
