T-Mobile Tuesdays for July 25 include a free Towel (!)

T-Mobiles plans, prices and attitude may be becoming more and more like AT&T and Verizon, but their T-Mobile Tuesdays continue! Their July 25 (2017) includes actual towels, with giant T-Mobile Tuesdays verbiage on them, and you can pick these up at your local brick-and-store T-Mobile stores.

The other freebie of this week is a free Disney e-book from Story Central.

The other three offers are “coupons”. The most interesting one is a brick and mortar one as well. You get 25% off select Samsung accessories. You are limited to the inventory available at your local store and by what items are participating in the promotion. Still, if you are part of the Samsung ecosystem, and you want to buy an accessory that has more or less similar prices everywhere, this is a good opportunity.

The other two coupons are returning from previous weeks, 25% off at Papa Johns pizza, and at a hotels website.

T-Mobile Tuesdays have a good set of actual freebies for 7/18/17

They are back in form! The T-Mobile Tuesday offers for Tuesday 7/18/17 have actual freebies! This is a good set of freebies too! You get the returning $5.50 Vudu store credit, which you can use any which way you like – you can rent movies, or buy TV shows or movies. This is an actual credit, so if they have a 10c sale on movies (which they often do these days to celebrate their 10 year anniversary), you can rent them all and still have credit left for other purchases or rentals. This is very nice, unlike the FandangoNOW credit which can only be spent on a single item. Good on Vudu!

But wait, there’s more good freebies! Using the Bookshout e-book service (this is a promotional type of a website that is designed for giveaways ~ it seems) you can get an e-book on the lovely National Parks. And this is a brand name ebook, by National Geographic which is also sponsoring some of the prizes of the day.

And there’s more! The aptly named FreePrints app is offering a dozen free prints and more importantly, they come with free shipping too. Ten of them are the standard 4×6 size, while two are the larger 5×7 inch.

Rounding out the action are two coupons, 25% off at Papa Johns (better ingredients [allegedly], better pizza [allegedly]), and 25% off at a hotel booking service.

YMMV (Targeted): 5% back on AT&T Universal card

This offer is a very YMMV, as it appears to be a targeted offer, perhaps to encourage people who are not using their AT&T Universal card as much as their computers think they should be 🙂

If you have received this offer, by email or by mail, it goes like this: you earn 5% as a statement credit on purchase made with the card until 9/30/17. This includes almost all purchases, it is not a quarterly reward type. However, the maximum you can earn through this promotion is a $25 bonus, which means it phases out either at $500+ in purchase or $625+ (if they only count the 4% towards the bonus since you earn 1% anyway with the Universal card).

Excluded are AT&T purchases and similar offers that earn a similar or higher percentage already.

You MUST first activate the offer before you can earn the bonus! Here’s a screenshot of what I received:

T-Mobile Tuesdays June 13 is rather meh with free trials and coupons

Last Week’s anniversary had some pretty good freebies, but things are getting balanced out this time around as the Tuesday June 13 (2017) T-Mobile Tuesdays are very meh!

There is no real freebie, it’s more coupons and free trials. You get one month of X-BOX Game Pass which is probably the “best” of the lot. You also get a three month Shoprunner subscription BUT if you have an American Express credit card, you qualify for a FREE membership on an on-going basis.

Then there’s the two coupons, you get 25% off LG Tone headsets inside T-Mobile brick and mortar stores, and worst than a BOGO at Baskin Robins (buy one at full price, get a second one for 99c more). SAD!

Dozens of Dash Buttons for $3 each [profit of $2 per button assuming you need to order things]

If you like the idea of Amazon’s Dash buttons, and want to make a quick $2 profit per button, then head on over to Amazon, where they have a limited time offer, a total of 37 Dash Buttons are on sale for $3 each instead of their regular price of $5.

What makes it profitable is this: after you buy a Dash button, receive it, configure it, and use it to make an order, Amazon will place a $5 credit in your Amazon account. When the Dash buttons are sold at $5 face value, this is a wash. But when the Dash buttons are sold for less, then you make a profit.

I should point out (in case it’s not obvious from the way the Dash buttons work), you MUST place an order for each button received in order to get the $5 credits. So if you were planning to buy those things anyway, then it’s profitable. If you can’t find anything you want/need to buy using the Dash buttons, then you lose money.

Limit up to three per customer at the $3 per unit sale price.

AMEX Offers: $300 off in Yelp Ads purchases of $300+

If you have a local business that you want to promote, and you have an American Express credit card, you may want to head on over to the American Express Offers. This is the section below your statement summary on the AMEX website, AFTER you logon with your account. There’s a variety of offers swimming in that ocean, but they are targeted, so not every card holder gets every offer.

This offer gets you $300 off a purchase of $300 or more in Yelp Ads to promote your business. This is a promo code to use when making the Yelp Ads purchase, it is not an “Add to Card” promotion. Here is a larger version of the picture below where you can see that the promo code to use for this offer is 0517YELPAMEX300.

Per the terms there, the offer is good for first time Yelp purchases, and it must be paid with an AMEX credit card. The promotion runs until 8/28/17. It cannot be combined with other offers. This is NOT a statement credit or Membership Points. You will get a straight up discount at Yelp. So if you order $310 in Yelp Ads, the coupon will drop the price down to $10. This is a random example, I don’t know what kind of ad packages Yelp offers!

Xfinity Mobile launching for just $12/month for the Per Gigabyte plan or $45/month Unlimited

If you like to pay significantly less than the post-paid plans offered by the Big Four carriers, the XFinity (Comcast) Mobile phone service has launched in select regions today! If you already have an Xfinity internet service (or other post-paid account with them), you can sign up for their service. There are two options:

  • Unlimited plan: $45 per month for 24 months, up to 20GB/month high speed, then slowed down
  • By the Gigabyte: you pay $12 per gigabyte

Pay $65, Get $100 in Amazon Coins

If you are a fan of the Amazon App store ecosystem (eg you have a Fire tablet), and you spend a lot of money there, good until May 25 (2017), Amazon has a new promotion, you pay $65, and get $100 in Amazon Coins. The offer is good for new App store customers.

Note that the coins can only be used within the Amazon app store (eg games and apps). You cannot use it to buy music or books or movies or physical goods at Amazon.

T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for 5/16/17: Vudu $5 credit, Pet Bandana at B&M

There’s a pretty good duo of freebies on Tuesday May 16 (2017) for T-Mobile customers as part of their Tuesdays promotion. The best freebie perhaps is at their brick and mortar stores, you will get a free pet bandana. The text of the promotion even encourages you to bring a friend along, and that friend will get a free bandana too ~ I’m assuming that friend will also be politely asked if they want to transfer their account to T-Mobile 🙂

The other nice freebie is the return of the $5 Vudu store credit, which can be used towards the purchase or rental of movies, or the purchase of TV episodes or seasons. This can be combined with any other store credits you may have on your account.

The other two offers are coupons, $7 off at Petsmart, which is not bad if you are a regular shopper there. The last one is a meh, $25 at Restaurant.com, but restaurant.com is SAD.

T-Mobile Tuesdays for 5/2/17 have a Mother’s Day theme

The Tuesday May 2nd (2017) freebies at T-Mobile Tuesdays have a Mother’s Day theme. You start the day with a free Edible Arrangements Pineapple Pop. Then get to your computer and create a free Mother’s Day app using the Inkly app. After that, it’s time to read, a 1-year digital subscription to Fortune magazine (yes, the one whose website has those annoying roadblock ads). Last and decidedly least is a $15 off coupon at VistaPrint (whose offers you can find piling on in your spam folder) 🙂

Trolling aside, this is a pretty good haul, assuming you have an Edible Arrangements facility near you to redeem the freebie 🙂

Lyft and Vudu headline April 18 T-Mobile Tuesdays

T-Mobile cellular plans have become more carrier (than uncarrier) in recent months, but the Tuesday freebies continue to roll! For April 18 in 2017, there are five freebies. Sort of. Two are pretty good, a $5 Vudu credit (you can use it for rental or purchase or movies or purchase of TV shows (single episodes or towards season passes), and a $5 Lyft Line credit. Next up, T-Mobile will plant a tree for you, which is nice for the planet 🙂 It is Earth Day Week after all!

The other two are more on the meh side. You get 50% off Eco-Cards, which is useful only if you are a fan of the brand, and $25 credit to use at Restaurant.com, which is nowhere near as good as it sounds. Be sure to look up how things works there before you commit any money to it. Of course the T-Mo freebie doesn’t cost you anything, so you lose nothing by claiming it.

Bing Rewards: unlock a $5 Starbucks Gift Card offer

If you are participating in Bing Rewards, check your emails or account for a new promotion running until April 30 in 2017. If you make 30 or more searches during the month, you can unlock a $5 Starbucks Gift Card offer! You don’t get the gift card, you can unlock the offer to get the gift card. This may be a targeted promotion to encourage inactive Bing users to use it more often. YMMV since I have no way of checking how many others are eligible for this.

T-Mobile Tuesdays for March 28 include Dunkin Donuts and FandangoNOW and coupons [updated]

UPDATE 3/28/17: On actual Tuesday, in addition to the $2 Dunkin Donuts promo code, an additional $5 Dunkin Donuts promo code appeared in my account. Personally it’s useless since there are no DD stores nearby, which is probably why I got it 😉

ORIGINAL POST
Another week has rolled over and we are getting close to another T-Mobile Tuesday. For March 28 in 2017, we have a new entry and three returnees. Apparently the Dunkin Donuts promo was popular enough last week, they added it to this week’s rotation after the initial schedule came out. It’s a $2 credit to spend at a Dunkin’ Donuts store ~ assuming there are some near you 🙂

The new entry is a coupon, $20 off tickets purchased at Gametime. Another coupon returns, it’s the 25c per gallon discount at Shell Gas stations. Of interest only to those who already refuel at Shell 🙂

Free TPO SIM card with Free Shipping

If you want to try an alternative carrier to the Big (Evil) Four, a new emerging option is TPO, or The People’s Operator. The Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales joined this company in 2014, so that’s one plus they have over the many other alternative carriers out there.

For a limited time (they do not mention expiration date), you can get a FREE TPO SIM card. This is a 3-in-1 card, so it should fit all GSM phones. Free shipping as well. You pay nothing to get this card, you don’t give them any credit card info. You are also under no obligation to activate or use it.

T-Mobile Tuesdays for 1/17/17 include Vanity Fair, Movie Rental, and Express and Lyft coupons

Time flies faster and faster these days, which means another T-Mobile Tuesday is almost always just around the corner. The Tuesday January 17 (2017) lot is not a bad one, two freebies and two coupons! Here’s a screenshot followed by a summary:

The two freebies is a 1-year digital subscription to Vanity Fair (like other magazines and digital publications they expand their coverage, in a way, it’s almost as if every magazine covers everything these days), and one digital movie rental at FandangoNOW. The movie rental amount you get is $5, so if you want to rent newer movies that cost $6, you have to pony up the extra dollar). Sadly, unlike Vudu that gave us an actual credit to do as we pleased, FandangoNOW’s freebie can only be used towards one movie rental, so if you rent a 99c movie, you use up the coupon, you don’t have a $4.01 balance to rent more like you would with Vudu. Vudu is pretty good 🙂

You also get two coupons. One is $20 off at Express (no, they did not close – the “The Limited” closed). You also get two $10 off coupons for Lyft. Lyft is trying to catch up to Uber which is more famous and popular, which is probably why Lyft keeps on offering T-Mobile Tuesday promotions 🙂
