Google Play Content Deals: free Wilco LP and Tom & Jerry movie rental, 99c album and HD movie rentals

In addition to the previously mentioned free TV pilots, Google Play has some more limited time deals on digital content, starting with a free movie rental in HD, it is the October 2005 movie Tom and Jerry: The Fast and the Furry (wink wink Fast and the Furious) with a 74 minute runtime. Once you scoop this up, you have 30 days to start watching it. If you don’t do so, it will simply expire.

Staying with movies, they have a new round of 99c HD movie rentals, including “Selma” and a couple of IP Man movies among a total of lucky 13 options. You can rent as many as you want. The usual digital rental terms apply, you have 30 days to start watching. Once you start watching, you typically have 24-48 hours to finish the movie (and you can watch it as many times as you want during that window). The rental duration (24 or 48 hours) is listed on each movie’s page.

Music Specials
Everybody likes free, but especially so if you are interested in Wilco, their brand new album “Star Wars” (July 17 release date, remember now new music albums come out Fridays, not the good old Tuesdays), with 11 tracks is not only free on Google Play, it is also free on Amazon Digital Music.

The next album is as close to free as one can get, it is 99c and for that you get Courtney Barnett’s March 2015 indie release, “Sometimes I Sit and Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit” with 11 tracks and around 43 minute runtime.

REMEMBER all these offers are limited time offers, they only run for a few days and then revert back to regular prices. So if you see them (at least the free ones), grab them and sort it out later 🙂
