This limited time promotion expired…
In a new email sent today to Staples Rewards members, they reveal a new promotion running for three days, November 20-22 in 2014. You will receive 25% back in Staples Rewards on purchases made during this period. As usual, you have to show them the coupon code for the offer. The Rewards coupon can be used in parallel with a normal discounting coupon, since the Rewards coupon does not affect price.
Note however that a few months ago Staples changed their rewards program to something less favorable to consumers. Now you only get rewards in $5 increments instead of the full amount every month. Rewards now expire in about 1.5 months, while before they lasted for 3-6 months (depending on Rewards membership level). And while the amounts less than $5 rollover, they don’t rollover forever, so you end up loosing some of it, unless your purchases fit exactly in $5 increments. This is yet another one of the side-effects of consolidation, the negative side of Office Depot buying Office Max 🙁
