Nov 7-13 (2017): Buy 3 select Food Items, Get 150 Bonus Stars [Starbucks Rewards]

This promotion is probably only of interest if you frequently buy food at Starbucks. Otherwise it would be too expensive to do just to get the bonus stars. This is another offer that requires activation, so it is YMMV. Check your emails or the Starbucks app to see if their AI Bots invited you to participate.

The offer runs November 7-13 in 2017 and it is this:

Buy one item from each product category during this period, and if you do, you will earn 150 Bonus Stars, in addition to the stars of the purchase price. That’s worth 1 full reward and 1/6th of a full reward. You can look at this as a Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion, since you can redeem 125 of those bonus points towards the most expensive food item in the store (paninis or bistro boxes).

The three product categories are:

  1. buy one “Sausage, Cheddar and Egg” breakfast sandwich
  2. buy any one Warm Sandwich (breakfast sandwiches are NOT eligible)
  3. buy any one protein box (formerly known as Bistro Boxes)

And that’s it, you will get your 150 Bonus Stars. As far as I can tell, you no longer get reward credits for these type of promotions if you buy for one of the required items using Rewards. I believe you have to pay for them with real money. I haven’t retested this in recent weeks though.
