Staples Rewards now offers free $50 Copy and Print Services for Premier members

One of the side effects of the merger of Office Max and Office Depot is that now the rewards programs at both the combined Office Depot/Max and Staples are worse than they were before. Both have decreased benefits, while camouflaging some of the changes. For example, at Staples, you no longer get the full 5% amount, since you only receive rewards in $5 increments. Sneaky bastards!

But there are some good news today, Staples has increased the free Copy and Print services for Premier members. Now you can get $50 per calendar year. If you are a Plus member, you get $25 per calendar year. The benefits are at Staples B&M stores only, not online. They sent an email earlier today informing of the changes. You can see this at their Rewards page. For more details, logon to your Staples Rewards account and click on “View My Benefits” from under “Quick Links”.

So what does your $25/$50 get you? According to the Rewards page, this includes Custom printing and Brochures and booklets and Catalogs and Tradeshow signage and Presentations and Direct mail and Packaging and labels and Business forms. However, there are exclusions: self-service printing, computer workstation, Staples Promotional Products, shipping services, stamps, online orders and gift cards.
