How to Use The $10 Amazon K-Cup Sample Box Rebate [Nice Surprise: you can also use it on some Teas!]

Amazon continues to run a promotion on a K-Cup Sampler. You buy it for $10 and a week after your order ships, you receive a $10 credit to your Amazon account to use on future K-coffee purchases. We covered the purchasing part in last week’s post. In this post we cover how to use your $10 account credit (it’s $9.99 actually but it’s easier to type $10).

But that’s not all! After experimenting with the shopping cart I discovered that some other coffee items are also eligible when redeeming your account credit for this promotion ~ see the last section below for details!… UPDATE: this also works with K-Cups Teas!

The email confirmation arrives
Now it’s been a week after I placed the order, so, as promised, Amazon sent an email with the title “Benefit Confirmation for your Order” that notifies that a $9.99 credit has been applied to my Amazon.com account. You don’t have to do anything, it’s automatically activated on your account. You can’t see it anywhere on the Amazon website, unless you put an eligible item in your shopping cart and proceed to checkout. Then you will a $9.99 discount.

Buy K-Cup Coffee Pod Sampler for $10, Get $10 to spend on Future Coffee Purchase

UPDATE 7/27/16: this one has not come back yet, but there a couple of others in-stock at the moment, Dog Food and Crest Dental, see them all at the Sample Boxes pages

UPDATE 5/17/16: the K-Cup promotion is still unavailable, however, Amazon has just launched a similar promotion with a $10 Protein Bar Sampler box. I just placed an order for that and will have more details after it arrives…

UPDATE 4/25/16: as of this check, this item is not available for purchase, so the promotion is in hibernation until it returns back in-stock. The offer is good until 10/31/16, so there’s plenty of time for new supplies to arrive. I have no inside knowledge, so its return is definitely in YMMV territory…

ORIGINAL POST
If you use coffee machines that take coffee pods, and you drink caffeinated coffee, Amazon has a nice promotion. You pay $10 and you receive a sampler of Coffee Pods. You will receive a minimum of ten, but quite a few people are receiving a dozen. Free shipping for Prime members.

December 12: 20% off select coffees, teas & items at Peet’s Retail Stores

If you live or happen to be near a Peet’s brick and mortar coffee shop on Saturday December 12 in 2015, you can enjoy a 20% off sale on select coffees, teas, and gift items. Eligible items include their Holiday Blend beans (regular or decaf) and K-Cups, and their holiday teas (Holiday Breakfast Blend, Winter Solstice, Vanilla Bean Pouches, Chocolate Mint Truffle Pouches, Vanilla Keemun), and some gift items. The offer is not good for drinks or bakery food items. No coupon is needed, the sale price will be factored in automatically within the stores. These type of offers are typically only good at retail locations, not some of their more express store-within-a-store locations.

It’s back: 25c Coffee or Tea (12oz) at Whole Foods

It is back! The 25c coffee (or tea) promotion returns at Whole Foods, hot on the heels of their 25c oatmeal promotion. This new iteration is good until November 3 in 2015. You don’t need a coupon, you don’t need a membership card, just buy a 12oz coffee or tea and you pay $0.25. You don’t have to buy anything else. You can buy multiple 12oz coffees if you need more caffeine.

This is as official as it gets, it’s on their official Twitter account, with the tweet in question embedded below:

Peet’s Coupon: free shipping with $25+ order

If you like to scoop up some Peet’s coffee beans or tea leaves (or anything else they sell) but don’t want to spend $75 to get their usual free shipping, rejoice! Good until 10/27/15, coupon code 15FSOCT gets you free shipping on orders of $25 or more at their website.

In parallel, at their stores, for a limited time only, they have a couple of stackable promotions. If you pay with a Peet’s Gift Card, you get a 10% off discount on your purchase. Good deal but the downside of this offer is that they have suspended their long-standing promotion of a free medium drink with a gift card purchase or reload of $25 ๐Ÿ™

The other in-store offer is $1 off on iced beverages. I don’t recall if it’s espresso/coffee only, or all iced beverages.

And stacked with the above two offers, you still get a 10c off discount if you bring in your own cup, instead of using on of their own throwaway cups. Save the planet, save 10c! Think about it, if you go there once a day, you save $36.50, more than enough to get you a nice fancy coffee mug with stainless steel and all ๐Ÿ™‚

12oz Allergo Cup Of Coffee for $0.25 at Whole Foods

Whole paycheck? What whole paycheck? Until the end of September 2015, Whole Foods is offering 12oz cups of Allergo coffee for just 25 cents each. That’s right, old school prices! Better yet, this is a sale price, so you don’t need to print or show a coupon. You can find it at the Sales Flyer page. That’s crazy ๐Ÿ™‚

Hot for Panera Rewards members (YMMV): Free Coffee Every Day in September 2015

If you have a Panera Rewards account (free to sign up for), check your account or the email you used to register for it. There is a promotion offered to some reward members that gets you FREE coffee every day in September 2015. That’s 30 free coffees if you go there everyday. I have no way of knowing how many Rewards members are eligible.

The email announcing this promotion will have this giant, hard to miss graphic (screenshot underneath):

my_panera_free_coffee_in_september_2015

This is quite a power play from Panera. Instead of spending their marketing money on flashy (and annoying) TV and online ads, they are using them to get people into their stores and more importantly create a new habit. Because if you go to Panera in 30 days in a row for you free coffee, you will probably continue going after the promotion expires. Plus, once there, many people will not be able to resist the siren’s call of their many pastries, or perhaps they’ll feel guilty for the freebie and feel compelled to buy something else as well ๐Ÿ™‚

June 22 – July 19: $2 off 1 lb of Coffee Beans at Peets

If you like “real” coffee beans, Peet’s Coffee stores have a month long promotion, running June 22 until the end of day on July 19 in 2015 that gets you $2 off a purchase of one pound of coffee beans (they can also grind it for you in-store). This is only good for actual Peet’s stores, not groceries or airports and such. You can use it as many times as you like during this promotion. Simply show the employee the email of this promotion or even just mention it the $2 off email coupon.

May 29 – June 7: five bonus stars with coffee products (Starbucks)

If you are a Starbucks Rewards member, check your emails or app inbox for yet another promotion. This is a one-time use offer, runs between May 29 and June 7 in 2015, and gets you five bonus stars if you purchase specially-marked coffee products (not coffee drinks) from Starbucks stores, grocery stores, or their website. This includes whole bean, ground, VIA, Verismo or K-Cup pods. Check your emails and their website for more details and how to earn the stars depending on where you buy them. You don’t have to opt-in, this offer is loaded automatically. The 5 bonus stars will appear in your account by 6/17/15.
