The new condition DVD of the movie “Escape from Planet Earth” is currently on sale for just $3.74 at amazon.com with up to five per customers at the sale price. This is a 3D animated movie released in 2013.
There is a catch however, it is an Add-On item, so you must place an order of $25+ in eligible products, otherwise Amazon’s shopping cart will rudely refuse to let you buy it!
One of the most underappreciated comedies of this century so far is the Comedy Central Key & Peele series (yes, the MadTV alums). If you missed out on it or want to watch and rewatch it, it is currently on sale as a DVD set for $24.51 at Amazon by Amazon actual. Limit one per customer during this sale. It is not however a lightning deal.

The Fargo TV series on FX has been getting a lot of critical praise, but in today’s Peak TV world, it is hard for it to get mainstream action. Still, it’s there to watch and stream if/when you please, and the DVD set for Season 2 of the show is currently on sale for $10 at amazon.com with Amazon actual being the seller of record. You can buy up to three sets at this sale price. Free shipping as usual, Prime or with a $49+ purchase.
The scifi TV series “Space Above and Beyond” was a bit ahead of its time, back in the era 20+ episode seasons without the necessary budget. For whatever reason, it cannot be found on any of the major streaming services in the USA, which has kept the prices of its DVDs higher than other TV shows that are streamable.
If you don’t want to pay new condition prices [currently $40] for it, you can get it for $19~ shipped in “Used – Very Good” condition by Go Hastings through Amazon. This ships directly from GoHastings, so you can’t avoid the shipping fee even if you are a Prime member. This ships from Texas.
NOTE: there’s another seller offering it for a similar price but that one ships from the UK and it’s probably Region 2. So pay attention to who the actual seller is over there before buying!

If you are a fan of anime, the DVD set of “The Last Airbender” TV series is on sale for $25 at Amazon, with the usual free shipping prerequisites. This comes with 16 discs and was released in early October of this year.
However, if you are a fan of the series, there’s another option coming out on November 17 of this year that you may find more tempting, an Amazon Exclusive set that includes the DVDs plus an 80-page illustrated book, the “Avatar: The Last Airbender – The Promise Part 1”, written by the series creative duo. The story in the book picks up after the TV series ended. Check your favorite anime website or forum for more details.
On sale again, on DVD, the animated scifi TV series “Wing Commander Academy”, based on the popular old-school video games, is now going for $8 at Amazon by Amazon actual. Free shipping for Prime members or with a $35+ order for non-members. Total runtime is about 4.5 hours, a total of 13 episodes and it originally aired in 1996.

The short-lived Starz Original series “Party Down” with some notable actors including the lovely Jane Lynch and Megan Mullally has now been released as a “Complete Series” DVD set (four discs) and it is on sale for $9.39 at Amazon.com. Prime membership gets you free shipping, otherwise a $35+ order. You can buy as many sets as you like. Total runtime is around 550 minutes.
