Connect Two Services to Movies Anywhere, Get FIVE FREE MOVIES

A new movie library syncing and playback service expanded out of Disney’s Movies Anywhere. It’s the new Movies Anywhere service that includes Disney along with four other major studios (Sony, WB, 20th Century, Universal).

Movies purchased on Vudu, iTunes, Google Play and Amazon Instant Video, or Digital Copy or Ultraviolet movies redeemed through those services, from those participating studios, are now able to get synced across those services and also into the Movies Anywhere app/service. (which can also play those movies by the way – unlike that darned Ultraviolet mess).

AMEX Offers: Spend $5+ at iTunes, Get $5 Statement Credit

If you have an American Express credit card and like to shop at iTunes, check your latest AMEX Offers! Their new offer is pretty good, if you make $5 or more in purchases until 12/31/16, you will receive a $5 AMEX statement credit. You don’t even have to spend the $5 in a single transaction. This is a cumulative offer. It has a limit of one per customer during the promotion.

As with other offers like this, you have to manually first add it to your account by clicking the “Add to Card” button in the Offers section of the AMEX website. If you have more than one card on the same login, make sure you are activating it on the card you intend to do so.

Note also that while the offer is good until 12/31/16, the time frame to add it to your card is often shorter, because they sometimes have a limited number of activations. To cut a long story short, if you are planning of using it, add it to your account as soon as you see it, don’t assume it will be available to sign up for until the end of the promotional window.

Having said that, once you add it to your card, the offer remains in your account until the expiration date. The shorter time frame is for adding to your account, not using it (once you activate it).

Get 500 Plenti Points with $25 iTunes Gift Card

If you are part of the iTunes ecosystem and you are participating in the Plenti Rewards program, running until Saturday night (9/17/16) at Rite Aid stores is a promotion as follows (screenshot below; then text):

Buy a $25 iTunes plastic gift card, and get 500 Plenti points added to your account. The points show up on your purchase receipt and you can use/spend them the next morning. So before you leave the store you know that all is well with the transaction. This offer is limit two for this particular week.

Assuming you can spend the 500 points (which are $5 equivalent) in the future, this makes it a virtual 20% discount on the iTunes gift card. There are simple ways to spend Plenti points: future purchases at Rite Aid (just not ones that get you Plenti rewards like this one), and Exxon-Mobil gas stations.

Lucky Rewards: Buy $50+ iTunes Gift Card, Get $10 off Future Purchase and 200 Rewards Points

The weekly freebies parade is currently over for Lucky Rewards members, but they have a new tentpole promotion for week running August 17-23 in 2016 (the usual Wednesday AM through Tuesday PM grocery weekly-ad cycle).

If you buy $50 or more in iTunes Gift Cards, their cash register will spit out a coupon that gets you $10 off your NEXT purchase at Lucky’s. As long as you can find $10 or more to buy there in the future, then it’s like you are getting a 20% off on the iTunes gift card. On top of that, you earn 200 Lucky Rewards points, which can be used to redeem “Dollars Off” coupons ($2 purchasing power) or towards actual rewards items.

I don’t need any iTunes gift cards at the moment, so I am not going to do this offer, so I can’t tell you any more than what the email says. This appears to be an automatic offer, you don’t need to add it to your account manually.

For the brick and mortar shopping week of Sunday August 16 until the close of business on Saturday August 22 in 2015, at Staples stores, you can get a 20% off discount on select iTunes Gift Cards, in the $100, $50, $30 and $25 denominations. Limit one per customer but since there’s no coupon or rebate, you can revisit and buy more.

Lucky promotion: $10 off future purchase with $50+ in Gift Cards (Xbox, iTunes, GPlay)

This is a YMMV promotion, but if you use the self-checkout machine at Lucky’s stores, it may spit out a promotional offer after you complete the transaction. The offer says that if you purchase $50 or more in any combination of iTunes or Google Play or xBox gift cards, their checkout register will spit out a coupon for $10 off your next purchase. You will pay full price for the gift cards. The discount will be on the next purchase after that. Limit two per customer. I haven’t done this promotion (yet at least), so I can’t tell you exactly how it works. If you are a regular Lucky’s shopper, this is effectively a 20% off on the gift cards, assuming you were going to spend that future money on future purchases anyway (eg you regularly buy groceries there).
