50c off Kind Bar Sweet and Spicy coupons at Whole Foods B&M

Kind Bars have their famous fruit and nut bars, but after they became famous, they also launched a “Strong and Kind” line that is varying degrees of spicy, and have more protein and are bigger (wider) in size. This line now morphed into the “Sweet and Spicy” line-up.

For this line only (not the regular Kind bars), at Whole Foods brick and mortar stores, you will find a coupon next to them that gets you 50c off one bar. The bars go on sale on their own, and the coupon is stackable with the sale. The sale is per unit, so even if the display says “2 for $X”, you can buy one and get the sale price.

I haven’t tried buying two bars with two coupons yet, I only do one bar with one coupon 🙂

This is a picture of the coupon (on top of their flyer):

The coupon expiration is December 31st in 2017.

These bars are flying under the radar as far as the general population is concerned, so don’t worry, they won’t sell out 🙂

12pk Strong Kind Bars (Hickory) for $10.64

If you like your protein bars to be on the spicy side of things, but still give you solid nutrition, the “Hickory Smoked” flavor of the “Strong & Kind” line of Kind bars is on sale for $10.64 at Amazon.com. The sale is so good you are only allowed to buy one. You can also start a “Subscribe and Save” on this with a 5% or 15% discount (depending on how many SnS eligible items you have during a month).

I have repeatedly bought and eaten the whole line-up of these, they are very good, with minimal iffy ingredients, and a solid 10g of nut protein per bar. These are best described as sweet and spicy. They also go well with different beverages, coffee, milk or milk-alternatives, etc.

12pk Strong and Kind Honey Smoked BBQ for under $9 (B&M; YMMV)

This is a YMMV promotion as both availability and pricing may vary from store to store and region to region, but at some Grocery Outlet stores, you may find a 12-pack of the “Strong and Kind” Kind bars in the “Honey Smoked BBQ” flavor for $8.79, or you can buy individual bars for 75 cents each (comes out to $9 for a dozen but you don’t get the colorful cardboard container).

If you are not familiar with these, the “Strong and Kind” are different from the regular Kind bars. They are on the spicy side (varying degrees of spiciness, nothing really that makes you jump up and down). So it’s for fans of sweet and spicy. They are also protein-focused, the almonds are strong with these ones (no pun intended).

This price decidedly defeats Amazon’s prices even with Subscribe and Save discounts factored in.

16oz 365 Almond Butter for $7 at Whole Foods

For a limited time only, Whole Foods stores have a sale on their house brand (365) almond butter (creamy or crunch). Their 16oz jars (not glass) are selling for $7 each, instead of the current regular price of $8. This is a limited time sale, but I forgot to check the in-store tag for an expiration date…

Also shown in the receipt above, Kind Bars are on sale (4 for $5) which brings it to $1.25 per bar, but that’s not all. In the store shelves they attach $0.50 off coupons next the “Strong and Kind” variety (the spicy ones). With the coupon, they go down to 75c. I am assuming you can only do one coupon per purchase (I haven’t tried more), so it probably won’t work for stocking up unless you go there very often 🙂

Kind Bars Clip coupon: additional 15% off on first Subscribe and Save delivery

If you are a fan of the Kind Bars and you are also interested or at least willing to try out Amazon’s Subscribe and Save feature, for a limited time, they have a coupon that gets you an additional 15% off discount on the first delivery of Kind Bar Subscribe and Save orders. You can’t use this discount on regular purchases. They must be Subscribe and Save. The additional discount is for the first delivery. For future deliveries, the usual Subscribe and Save discounts apply (5% off or 15% off if you have five or more deliveries in the same month).

A total of 32 different Kind Bars are eligible for this promotion. To see the options and details of this promotion, check the relevant page. Amazon’s Clip grocery coupons just need you to press the Clip button. You don’t have to type anything later. This is a limited time offer but they don’t say when it expires.

Kind Bars for $1.25 each at Whole Foods (ends 1/27/15)

If you want to try out as many Kind bars as possible without committing to more than one bar per flavor, run to your local Whole Foods store. They have a sale on individual Kind bars for $1.25 each. The sale is “4 for $5” but you don’t have to buy four to get the price. Each one is $1.25. Whole Foods has almost all the flavors, except for the “Strong” bars (salty/spicy) and the new Kind Chai bars (seen at Starbucks). The sticker showing the sale price has an expiration date of 1/27/15. You can buy as many as you like.

PS: the individual price is better than buying a 12-pack! Their 12-packs are on sale for $16 each, which makes it a $1.33/bar. If you buy 12 bars individually, you pay $15. However, this sale is not the best price for 12-packs. This sale is best if you want to try a variety of bars, or if you want to buy a variety of bars.

Strong Kind Bars for $1 each (YMMV)

If you are live near a Trader Joe, you may want to check the prices of their Strong Kind bars. They may be on sale for $1 each, instead of the usual $1.50 price for Kind bars at Trader Joe. The Strong Kind bars are a new approach, they are a bit spicy and a bit salty while still retaining some of the sweetness. It’s a different taste from the usual Kind bars. There is a total of five flavors (see amazon.com). The Trader Joe I checked at carried only two of the five flavors (Roasted Jalapeno and Honey Smoked BBQ).

You can buy as many as you like at the Trader Joe. I don’t know if this is a limited time offer to spark sales and generate interest or a new price or a closeout.

4pk of Kind Bars for $5 (limited choices)

If you are a fan of Kind bars and want something in-between buying them one at a time or a 12-pack, Smart and Final stores have a good compromise, you can get 4pks for $5 total, which brings them to a reasonable price of $1.25 per bar. The only downside is that they only have a limited selection of flavors, they don’t have the whole line-up of 15+ flavors. But if you can find any flavors you like, then it’s a win. From what I recall, they have the Almond+Coconut, and the Cranberry one, and a couple of others. Selections may vary from store to store, and obviously I can’t visit every single Smart and Final store 🙂 This is not a weekly sale, it is their on-going price.
