Every month a number of places give out free e-books. The Kindle First program is not the only one. If you have a Samsung device that is eligible to participate in the Samsung Book Deals, and if you have installed the Kindle app from Samsung’s own app store (not Google Play, not Amazon’s app store), then you can head over to the “Book Deals” section of the app, and select one free ebook from a choice of four.
Unlike Kindle First, Samsung offers previously released ebooks, almost all of which are part of Kindle Unlimited (KU). So if you are a KU subscriber, you can read them through that if you don’t want to bother with installing yet anther app. I am running both the Google Play and Samsung app store Kindle apps on the same computer and for the most part they work okay. The only thing that confuses them is your own Documents, they seem to appear in both apps, not just the one you sent it to.
Anyway, the four options for March 2017 are:
- “Big Maria” by Johnny Shaw
- “Chasing the Sun” by Natalia Sylvester (has the nicest ebook cover)
- “The Moon and the Stars” by Constance O’Banyon
- “Damocles” by SG Redling
You have until March 31st in 2017 to make a choice. All of them have been around for a while, so there are plenty of reviews posted on them already ~ if you like to use reviews to help you device.
As with many KU e-books, once you buy them, you may be able to purchase the audiobook at a big discount. For example, the audiobook for Damocles is $2 after you get the e-book for FREE 🙂
