UPDATE 7/27/16: this one has not come back yet, but there a couple of others in-stock at the moment, Dog Food and Crest Dental, see them all at the Sample Boxes pages…
UPDATE 5/17/16: the K-Cup promotion is still unavailable, however, Amazon has just launched a similar promotion with a $10 Protein Bar Sampler box. I just placed an order for that and will have more details after it arrives…
UPDATE 4/25/16: as of this check, this item is not available for purchase, so the promotion is in hibernation until it returns back in-stock. The offer is good until 10/31/16, so there’s plenty of time for new supplies to arrive. I have no inside knowledge, so its return is definitely in YMMV territory…
ORIGINAL POST
If you use coffee machines that take coffee pods, and you drink caffeinated coffee, Amazon has a nice promotion. You pay $10 and you receive a sampler of Coffee Pods. You will receive a minimum of ten, but quite a few people are receiving a dozen. Free shipping for Prime members.
Speaking of shipping, there is only one shipping option in the shopping cart, “Standard” shipping, and no slow shipping credit option. I placed my order on Saturday, and it arrived on Thursday, even though the initial delivery estimate was further in the future. Mine arrived with UPS 3-Day, from UPS direct, not through their Post Office alliance. (This is limited one per customer by the way, so you can’t do it every day!)
One week after the order ships (not one week after you place the order, but after it actually ships), Amazon will put a $10 credit in your Amazon account to use on future purchases of select coffee products. The promotional page does not specify which products are eligible, but one can assume that it includes at least coffee pods. Once the credit is in your account, you can add things to your shopping cart, and do simulations to figure out what works [FEAR NOT, I will do this and post an UPDATE as soon I receive the credit in my account!]
Fast forward to today, and voila! The order has arrived! It came in a small cardboard box, with the coffee pods surrounded by thin paper. I received a dozen. Eight of them were loose in the box, but the four samples from Community Coffee were sealed in their own bag with a square card from Community coffee (see the arrow in the picture below). All of them are caffeinated, so if you are an exclusive decaf drinker, keep that in mind.
NEXT: Once the $10 credit appears in my Amazon account, I will experiment to see how you can spend it on Amazon, eg which items are eligible and which are not. Stay tuned for that! I can’t do this until the credit is in my account 🙂
