If you are planning to place an order at Prime Pantry, and you like to try out new teas, especially of the pyramid/sachet kind instead of the flat tea bags, Amazon has 20% off clip-on coupons on a couple of their house brand Wickedly Prime teas through Prime Pantry as follows:
6pk of Stash Tea Mojito Mint Green Tea (18 bags) for $13
If herbal vanilla is not your thing and you prefer something more cocktail-ish like a mojito, a six-pack of Stash Tea Mojito Mint Green Tea (18 tea bags each) are on sale for $12.88 each, making it just over $2 per box of 18! This is not a lightning deal, and not an add-on item, so you can buy one bundle or up to four.
1 lb Frontier Co-Op Peppermint (Loose Leaf) for $10.50
If you are a fan of peppermint tea, there’s a nice deal at the moment at Amazon! You can get One pound in bulk packaging of Frontier Co-Op, organic, cut and sifted, for $10.50 (Prime shipping), or $10 if you do a “Subscribe and Save”. You can get up to ten of these at the sale price. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration time is unknown.
This appears to be a popular option as it averages 4.7 out of 5 based on nearly 300 customer reviews and it has 23 answered questions.
This is loose leaf peppermint tea, not in tea bags. If you only sometimes want to drink this with a tea bag, you can always buy T-Sacs…
Smith Teamaker Bungalow Blend No. 47 for $7.54
It looks like we have an impromptu coffee and tea theme this week, because while surfing around on Amazon, another good deal surfaced. A 20% off clip-on coupon (the green button) can get you the Smith Teamaker Bungalow Blend No. 47 for $7.54 as a one-time-purchase, or slightly less through the “Subscribe and Save” discount.
This is a black tea, from India, blended at the company’s base in India. It is however an Add-ON item, so you need a $25+ order before the shopping cart will allow you to buy it.
PS: if you are looking for ideas on how to reach the $25 limit, check our Add-ON Deal posts, which we’ve had aplenty this week 🙂
20pk Good Nature Organic Chamomile Tea for $2.82
It’s a stressful and fast-paced world. If you want to wind down naturally and cheaply, a cup of chamomile tea can help! And if you are a fan of organic, there is a sale on a new brand at Amazon, it is the Good Nature Organic Chamomile Tea on sale for $2.82 or if you want to do a “Subscribe and Save”, you can get it for $2.68. Limit ten per customer either way.
Don’t tell the grown-ups at Amazon, but at the moment this is NOT an Add-On item, so if you are a Prime member, you can get it delivered with free 2-day shipping. It only has three customer reviews so far, so if you like to explore new brands and review new products, this is an opportunity.
Teavana: Four Freebies and Free S&H with $60+ purchase
It’s tea time! Coupon code ICEDTEA, running until 8/6/17, gets you THREE freebies when you make a purchase of $60 or more at the Teavana website. Their mall stores are closing, but Teavana, the brand will continue to live on at Starbucks B&M stores and online!
The three freebies are:
- one pound of Belgian non-GMO rock sugar
- 2 oz of Youthberry Wild Orange blossom loose leaf
- 2 oz of Pineapple Berry Blue loose leaf
Don’t let the name fool you, you can buy anything you want, it doesn’t have to be iced tea related 🙂 But that’s not all. Orders over $50 get free shipping, so if you are qualifying for this promotion, it means you are also getting free shipping for your order.
The Teavana email also notes that you get a 100pk of empty tea filters (paper bags) to fill up with your favorite tea. These are included for free with any purchase for a limited time. There is no coupon code mentioned. I’m guessing the shopping cart will automatically include it while this promotion is running.
New Teavana coupon: $15 off $50+ until 7/30/17
If you want to get some brewing accessories and/or tea from Teavana, you are in luck! Good until July 30 in 2017, coupon code STAYCOOL gets you $15 off an order of $50+ over there. The coupon is good for most items in their store, even though the email promoting the coupon has an iced tea theme. That’s because it’s summer and more people drink iced tea 🙂
The coupon is good at the Teavana website only, not at their B&M stores.
While there shopping, make sure you check their Sales page where you can see items on sale and clearance. You can also sort that page by price (top right corner, the “SORT BY”). There you will find that the 2016 Joy tea (their holiday special) is on sale for $5 per 2 ounces. The 2017 Joy tea was actually not bad!
20% off all Teas at the Peet’s website with coupon
If you like to buy tea from the Peet’s Coffee website, until Sunday night July 9 in 2017, you can get 20% off the teas they sell there (loose leaf or tea bags) using coupon TEAPARTY. The coupon is only good for their website, not their B&M stores. Other exclusions apply (not gift subscriptions or gift cards).
This is a good time if you are a fan of the “legacy” Peets teas as they have four of them currently in-stock, including Ser Pumphrey’s Blend and the good old Scottish Breakfast and the smooth Lion Mountain Keemun.
100pk Yorkshire Tea Bags for $5.49
This one is not a Prime Pantry offer, but as of the time of writing it is marked as an “Add ON” item, which means you must place a $25+ order in order to buy it. The restrictions applies to all customers, including Prime members. The good news is that you can get to $25+ even if you just buy multiple quantities of this item.
“This item” being a 100pk of Yorkshire Tea Bags for $5.49,. That comes out to around 18 tea bags per $1, which is pretty good! Yorkshire is one of the more balanced of the classic “English” teas. It averages 4.4 out of 5 based on 200+ customer reviews. Definitely better than the standard Lipton 100-packs (but taste is subjective regardless).
1 lb of Davidson’s Gunpowder Green Tea for $8
If you like gunpowder green tea, especially if you like to mix it in other teas or make iced teas or Moroccan Mint tea or for cosmetic or other purposes, there is a sale at the moment at Prime Pantry on One Pound of Davidson’s, that’s 16 ounces, for $8.14. That’s around 50c per ounce, which is bang for the buck for loose leaf tea.
The reviewers seem to be okay with it, it averages 4.5 out of 5 based on 21 of them. These are just the Prime Pantry reviews. Having said that, if you are a tea connoisseur used to buying tea directly from China, this is probably not for you 🙂
You can combine this with the Buy Five promotion and/or any $5 “No Rush Credits” you may have for better savings.
2.2 lbs of Taylors of Harrogate Earl Gray tea for $27.43
If you are a fan of Earl Gray loose leaf tea and drink a lot or like to share it with friends and family, there is a 25% off clip-on coupon at the moment at amazon.com that drops the price of a 1 kilo (2.2 lbs, aka 35.3 ounces) from $36.57 to $27.43. This is sold and shipped by Amazon actual, so you get Prime shipping if a member, and the protections of an Amazon purchase.
This is a crazy price, that’s under $1 per ounce, more specifically 78 cents per ounce. You can open your own pop-up tea shops with this price 🙂
Free Brewed Tea with Any Purchase at Teavana stores
If you live near a Teavana store, and can handle the mall traffic, AND more importantly, you can resist and not succumb to above-average sales pressure, then you can get a free brewed tea (16oz hot or 22oz iced) at a Teavana store using coupon code TEA3080 at their cash register WITH any purchase. This is a good opportunity to try an expensive tea for FREE while making a low cost purchase (or buying one of your favorite teas or accessories). Offer ends 3/26/17.
The minimum amount of tea they sell is 2 ounces, so keep that in mind when price-checking. It may be cheaper to look at clearance teaware or accessories 🙂
NOTE: if you are a Starbucks Rewards member, you can redeem a Starbucks Reward for 1 ounce of any tea they have. Another way to try expensive teas without paying crazy bucks. You can also pay at Teavana with the Starbucks app and get Stars.
Kindle ebook: “The Art and Craft of Tea” for $3
If you are interested in tea and want an ebook to go along with it, there is a limited time promotion at Amazon, the Kindle edition of the book “The Art and Craft of Tea” by Joseph Wesley Uhl is on sale for $2.99. This is a 160 page ebook. It has many pictures, so it’s best enjoyed (the visual part at least) on color screens (bigger phones or tablets). The text of course is great on e-ink e-readers. This currently averages 4.8 out of 5 based on 19 customer reviews.
You can both request a sample of the Kindle edition, and if you go to the page for the hardcover edition, you can also do the good old “Look Inside” which shows you random content within the book. Both are useful in evaluating an e-book, because the Kindle samples are always the first few pages, while the “Look Inside” jumps all over the book.
4oz Peets Winter Solstice Tea Tin for $4 w/free S&H
Don’t walk, run to the Peets Clearance sale where you can get a 4oz tin of Peet’s Winter Solstice loose-leaf tea for $4 with free shipping. Supplies are limited as this was a holidays 2016 tea. This is a great price, $1 per ounce, and you get to keep those solid Peets tea tins!
NOTE for Peets purists: these are Mighty Leaf branded tea tins since this is a new post-Mighty-Leaf-purchase tea.
25pk Peets Herbal Tea for $1.79 with free S&H
This won’t last long, so don’t sleep on it! A Christmas Day surprise, the Peets website has launched a clearance sale with free shipping (regardless of amount of clearance items) AND an additional discount of up to 50% off with coupon code SALE. That’s right the price is red you see there is BEFORE you enter coupon code SALE in the shopping cart!
This drops the price of their 25pk of herbal teas (Organic Peppermint or Chamomile) to $1.79 each, with free shipping. You can buy as many as you like as long as they have them available. Already, the “Xiao Blend” sold out.
A couple of coffee/tea presses are also part of the sale. The 16oz plastic BPA-Free travel cup drops to under $7 after coupon, and so does the 16oz borosilicate glass. Free shipping even if you buy one of them.
This is a very limited time offer, and these can sell out very quickly, so YMMV!
