LG G Stylo 2 (Boost Mobile) for $50 with free S&H

If you are looking for a Wifi-only smartphone with a basic built-in stylus, this is a pretty, pretty, pretty good deal for $50 with free shipping! It is the LG Stylo 2 for Boost Mobile sold for a limited time at this price by Best Buy on eBay. Limit one per customer. Free store pickup is also an option where possible.

I have the Virgin Mobile USA version of this. I haven’t finished writing the review yet, but at $50, this is a slam dunk buy. So far I posted the Unboxing (text and pictures only; no annoying video), along with a walk-through how to deal with activation pestering.

Here’s what you get in the Virgin Mobile kit:

This is a no-contract phone, but it is locked to the carrier it comes from.

This was a former AT&T phone, opened for unlocking per the description. There is no mention of a free 1-year Prime, so assume you are not getting that. No contract – you own the phone, you can do whatever you want with it – well, within the context of common sense that is 🙂

Refurbished HTC One M7 (unlocked GSM) for $150

With the latest wave of flagships coming out, more deals can be found in the previous-flagships, and even more so in the previous-previous flagships. Case in point, the HTC One M7 (unlocked GSM, formerly an AT&T phone, 32GB) is available for $150 with free shipping and no contract as manufacturer refurbished by ebay seller QualityCellz (99.2%). You have a choice of black or silver color scheme.

NOTE: the M7 does NOT have a microSD slot. HTC added a microSD slot to the M8.

Needless to say, this is a pretty good bang for the buck former-flagship phone! You can use it as a Wifi-only device (eg media player) or with any compatible GSM provider.

Seller Refurbished Galaxy Note 3 for $250 (GSM unlocked)

If you can resist the very expensive temptation of the new Note 4 or Edge, and you can be happy with the previous generation Note 3, there’s a pretty tempting offer at the eBay Deals. It is the seller refurbished Galaxy Note 3 offered for $250 (was $295) with free shipping by eBay seller “bidallies” (98.4%) with a limit of five per buyer. Over 7200 of them got sold from this offer so far according to the stats over there. [Price Updated here 5/20/15]

This is described as a B+ Stock, so don’t expect cosmetic perfection. This is model N900, with 32GB on-board storage, factory unlocked, GSM. No contract, which is what makes it tempting. You can use it as a Wifi-only device, or with any compatible GSM provider. The all-important S-Pen and other accessories are included.

Refurbished Samsung Galaxy S4 (Verizon) for $170

The smartphone offers never stop on eBay and with good reason, since we now have many capable smartphone generations, especially if you don’t “must have” the latest model. Especially in the case of the Galaxy flagships since the new S6s don’t have microSD and don’t have removable battery. So, among the latest offers, the seller refurbished Samsung Galaxy S4, model i545, for the Verizon Wireless network, is offered for $170 with free shipping, in black or white, by eBay seller “BidAllies” (98.5%). Over 2600 units got sold from this listing so far.

Since this is on Verizon, you don’t have the network flexibility of a GSM phone, so the price is lower. It has 16GB on-board storage, and no contract!

Refurbished 8GB iPhone 4 (Verizon) for $50

If you are looking for a basic iPhone, among the latest offers on eBay, you can get the seller refurbished 8GB iPhone 4 for $50 with free shipping, with a limit of five per buyer, from eBay seller “BidAllies” (98.5%). Over 10,000 units sold so far from this eBay listing.

This is a Verizon iPhone, noted as a “B+ stock”, in the black color scheme. No contract. Keep in mind, this is an older model, so you can’t upgrade to the latest iOS version (goes up to iOS 7, not 8). No contract – you own it right away.

Refurbished HTC One M8 (Verizon, no contract) for $220

If you are comfortable with the increased risk of seller refurbished smartphones, last year’s HTC One flagship, the M8 is currently offered seller-refurbished, unlocked for the Verizon network, with clean ESN for $220 with free shipping by eBay seller “GuaranteeCellular” (98.9%) with three color choices and a limit of five per customer. They offer a 14-day money back warranty (with approved RMA). No contract!

As it is often the case, carrier-centric phones go for less than unlocked GSM phones since you have a lot more options and flexibility with GSM. But if you want to use this as a Wifi-only device, that’s a discount!

Refurbished HTC One Mini for $145 (GSM unlocked, no contract)

If you are comfortable buying seller-refurbished smartphones with their increased risks (versus new or manufacturer refurbished), among the latest eBay offers, you can get the seller refurbished HTC One Mini for $145 with free shipping with a limit of five per buyer. This is currently a GSM unlocked smartphone, which used to be an AT&T phone. No contract, you own the phone right away and you can use it with any GSM provider of your choice or just keep it as a Wifi-only option.

Keep in mind, Mini in this case also refers to the specs. It is not the original One flagship internals on a smaller phone. For example, this Mini is powered by the Snapdragon 400. It has a 4.3-inch screen.
