Starbucks continues to roll out more Bonus Stars promotions. If you are a member of their Rewards program, check your emails or app inboxes, this new offer runs from June 2-8 in 2015 at participating locations. You don’t have to opt-in, it is activated automatically if you are eligible. You earn 4 bonus stars for each of the following, and you can use this offer as many times as you like during this promotional period:
- Before 11am: Double-Smoked Bacon or Cheddar & Egg or Slow-Roasted Ham & Swiss Breakfast Sandwich
- After 11am: On any lunch item, includes sandwiches, salads, wraps, paninis & bistro boxes
To avoid any potential timing issues, don’t go there around 11am. Either make sure you are early, eg 10:45am or late, eg 11:15am! The four bonus stars are in addition to the standard star per purchase.
In reward-speak, one star is approximately worth $0.50+ if you redeem the future reward for an expensive ($6+) item. So this is not a bad deal. Prices of the eligible items varies, so if you pick a modestly priced eligible item, it’s a pretty good value.
PS: I do not know if you earn bonus stars if you redeem a previously earned reward for one of the above. To be on the safe side, assume that it will not work – unless you know for certain otherwise.
