Starbucks Survey Rewards are 10 points with new system

The random customer surveys did not go away after Starbucks rebooted their Rewards program last month. You still receive them randomly by email after a visit. The “encouragement” now is 10 Bonus Points added to your account within 3 days after you complete the survey.

This is about the same benefit level as it was before. 10 points are a flat 8% of a reward (125 points). With the previous system, you got 1 bonus star, which was 1/12th of a reward, a flat 8.33% of a reward. So the difference is negligent. 8.33% of 125 stars is 10.4125 stars, and no one in their right mind would implement math-geek level fractions. The difference is so small you would have to complete 303 surveys to get an extra Reward based on the 0.4125 difference. Even nitpickers think this is nitpicky 🙂

By the way, you can also do the survey from a smartphone or a tablet, you don’t have to do it with a laptop or PC. It is optimized for mobile. Here’s the screenshot of a completed survey on a 2014 mid-tier smartphone:
