If you are looking to try out a fairly recent Roku box but don’t want to pay the big bucks for the flagship model, there’s a $30 compromise, the manufacturer refurbished Roku 1 offered for $30 with free shipping by NewEgg’s eBay store. You obviously won’t get the same features and horsepower as the Roku 3, but it’s also 1/3rd of the price. Still, if you have one of the old-old Rokus, this may be a thrifty way to upgrade. This has the newer remote with the jump-back button and the direct link buttons (Netflix, M-Go, Amazon, and Vudu). The official model name is 2710X-B.
