T-Mobile Tuesdays for December 6: Red Robin appetizer, Inkly Greeting Card, Grommet coupon

It’s appetizers and cards and coupons at the T-Mobile Tuesdays for December 6 in 2016. A trio of offers are teased ahead of time, headlined by an appetizer at Red Robin. This is not available for take-out, so you have to stay there, and there is a limit of one appetizer per table. This restrictions could backfire through if everyone shows up and orders an appetizer and water and each member of the party sits at a different table 🙂

tmobile_tuesday_december6

Next up, it’s a free Inkly greeting card, you can scout it ahead of time by checking out their website. Likewise with the “The Grommet” coupon, it’s $12 off your order over there.

So none of the returning champions this week (no Wendy’s, no digital movie).

T-Mobile Tuesday for 11/29/16: $5 Donation Match, Wendy’s and Fandango rental

T-Mobile Tuesdays are getting into the Holiday spirit with the November 29 (2016) round of Tuesday freebies. The headliner is a $5 donation match to the “Boys & Girls Clubs of American”. You donate $5, T-Mobile donates $5 to match your donation..

tmobile_tuesday_november29

The other two freebies are returning champions, the small Wendy’s frosty (remember, don’t redeem this until you are at the front of the cash register ready to order), and the $5 FandangoNow (formerly M-Go; the default Roku store) movie rental. FandangoNow’s offer is not as good as Vudu. With Vudu, you could use the credit any which way you like. FandangoNow’s credit is only good for movie rentals, and it doesn’t seem to even give you a balance, so at most you can rent one movie. Boooooo! Bring back Vudu 🙂

T-Mobile Tuesdays for 11/22/16 include Thanksgiving e-cookbook, Lyft, ShopRunner

Time does not stand still, no matter what Rush steampunkily sing-songs 🙂 A new T-Mobile Tuesday is fast-approaching, a Thanksgiving-themed one, with the following three freebies scheduled for 11/22/16:

tmobile_tuesday_november22

  • digital Thanksgiving cookbook through the BookShout service (the book service is a returning guest)
  • Free Lyft ride (another recurring guest)
  • six months of ShopRunner, it’s like a Prime for about 100 retailers that don’t have their own Prime service

Overall, this is a bit of a meh offering. If you have an American Express credit card, you can get a free annual Shoprunner subscription. The Lyft ride is limited in scope. The only interesting thing from this lot is the cookbook since it is seasonally relevant. But even that, you only get it two days before the feast, not a lot of time to plan ahead 🙂

Having said all that grumpily, these are freebies, and one can always ignore them if they are not of interest 🙂

T-Mobile planning something for the weekend starting Friday 11/18/16

Today is T-Mobile Tuesday, with the previously mentioned freebies, but when upon close inspection of the offers there, there is a teaser for something “EPIC” for the weekend, starting Friday November 18, in 2016. Here’s a screenshot of the relevant part, which appears on their mobile website below the offers. The terms and conditions don’t offer any hints, they are the standard weekly T&Cs (yes, I read them!)

tmobile_tuesday_november18_weekend

Crackpot Theories

The clues are hard to decipher because we don’t know if we are supposed to read into them or not. This is not LOST or Westworld after all 🙂 For example, it says “in store”, is that a hint that the offer will be in their brick and mortar stores only? Or is it just a phrase?

There are buzzwords of “epic” and “blow your mind”. Is that a phrase or a hint of something audio-related (the blow your mind part)? The pictures show people with smartphones and tablets, the smartphones taking pictures, the tablets are not. Will it be photography related?

Will it be a service discount or a limited time new or upgrade plan or a buy new devices promotion?

Last but not least of the options ~ because they did it in the past ~ they were giving away free products to people who walked in the stores. Of course by the time this made the news (various blogs and deal websites and forums), most of the stores ran out.

So time will tell ~ unless T-Mobile gives out more hints 🙂

T-Mobile Tuesdays for 11/15/16: Wendy’s, Fandango Rental

The T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for November 15 in 2016 are a mix of freebies and coupons. We have two returnees, the $5 Fandango movie rental credit (cannot be used for purchases; only movie rentals), along with the Wendy’s small frosty which is the longest running freebie.

tmobile_tuesday_november15

There’s also a coupon, which is not a freebie, and may be doing more damage than good because it’s really more advertising than a coupon. But I’m digressing. The coupon is 25% off any Logitech UE speaker. It will probably be 25% off list price, so I don’t even know if the coupon could beat sale prices at the big online retailers.

T-Mobile Tuesday for 11/8/16: Subway Cookies, FandangoNow Movie Rentals

UPDATE 11/8/16
FangandoNOW is having technical errors on their website that make it impossible to redeem your $5 T-Mobile Tuesdays credit. If you have an active Tuesdays credit, you get “Internal Server Error” when you try to rent something. Once the credit expires, you can order again without error.

I do not know if this is a true error or a sneaky way to cut down on the number of people who use the $5 credit. Either way, it looks bad for T-Mobile Tuesdays which is starting to look more like a marketing gimmick than actual “GET THANKED” freebies. More proof that T-Mobile is at best a half-Uncarrier, definitely not the people’s champion that the magenta CEO loudly champions them as 🙂

ORIGINAL POST
A decided turn towards the meh are the T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for November 8, in 2016, where we have a more coupons and non-freebies than actual freebies. I guess they can also get so many freebies before it deteriorates 🙁

Visual spoilers below with details after the picture:

tmobile_tuesday_november8

The actual freebies are actually only 1.5 of the offers. The rest are coupons and non-freebies. The list of actual freebies first:

  • $5 FandangoNow Movie Rental, can only be used towards rentals, you can use it towards multiple rentals for lower prices movies, you don’t have to spend it all at once ~ make sure you check to see the movie is not in Netflix or Prime or any other service you are already subscribed to
  • two Subway cookies
  • that’s it!

The rest are non-freebies. The other option at Subway, instead of the two cookies, is to pay $4 for a footlong Turkey breadwich. Meh! Hotels Tonight is just a $30 off coupon, while the Vote thing is not even a freebie, just a PSA type of thing.

Whining as we may, they are freebies still, but that’s one of the reasons some people signed up or are choosing to remain with T-Mobile 🙂

T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for 11/1/16: Digital Magazine, Movie Rental, Frosty

The freebies for the November 1st in 2016 T-Mobile Tuesdays have been revealed and it is a trio of freebies. One you can eat, two you can digitally view. They are (visual spoilers first):

tmobile_tuesday_november1

  • free digital subscription to “Electrify” travel magazine$5 in movie rentals at FandangoNOW
  • the usual Wendy’s Small Frosty

The “Electrify” bi-annual digital magazine is offered for the first time during the T-Mo Tuesdays, but the other two are returnees from last week. The small Wendy’s frosty is one of the most frequent offers, while FandangoNOW’s Movie Rental credit is back for its second week.

Unlike Vudu, the $5 FandangoNOW credit can only be used towards movie rentals, not towards the purchase of movies or TV seasons or episodes. They have plenty of movies for rental though, and if you go for older movies, you can rent multiple with your $5 credit. As usual, make sure you check to see if they are available through any of your streaming services or premium movie channels, so you don’t waste your credit on something you can already watch for free.

T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for 10/25: Movie rental, Lyft, Frosty

UPDATE 10/25/16
The offers are now live and the FandangoNow $5 credit can only be used for movie rentals. It does not work towards the purchase of TV shows or movies like it does with Vudu… If you are out of ideas on what to rent, you can always rent the original Westworld movie from the 70s since it is not available to stream on Netflix or Prime. Speaking of which, the DVD set of the movie is going for under $6 at Amazon (free S&H for Prime members).

ORIGINAL POST
The teasers are up and the free offers for T-Mobile users for Tuesday October 25 feature one new offer and two returnees. It’s getting a bit competitive too, as FandangoNow (formerly MGo, the official Roku box store) replaces Vudu as the movie rental freebie:

tmobile_tuesday_october25

Since this is the first time FandangoNow is participating in Tuesdays, I do not know if you receive a general use store credit like they did with Vudu, or you receive a code that only works with movie rentals. The former is more beneficial to both them and the consumer, since more choices means more purchases 🙂

Also unknown is whether there is a limit of one weekly freebie credit per FangandoNow account or not. Vudu imposed a limit of one weekly, even if you had multiple T-Mobile lines.

The other two offers are returnees, the Lyft free ride and the good old Wendy’s small frostie, which is one per line. Remember, the Wendy’s freebie must be redeemed while you are at the register ordering, it has a two minute window (I’m not sure exactly how it works technically).

T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for October 18: Photo Prints, Wendy’s Frosty, Vudu

UPDATE: yes indeed, Vudu is back to the $5.50 store credit, which you can use for any combination of movie rental, movie purchase or TV episode or TV season pass. The credit can be used in multiple transactions or a single transaction (eg buying a $5.50+ movie). You can also use it to “Complete Your Season” if you bought some episodes of a TV season and want to get the rest (along with the special features that are sometimes only available to season pass owners). Hooray 🙂

ORIGINAL POST
Just like that dear old friends another Tuesday is on the horizon! T-Mobile has teased ahead their freebies that are part of the October 18 in 2016 drop. A total of three items are participating, one new vendor and two returnees!

tmobile_tuesday_october18

The new vendor is the Printacular/Walgreens combo. You get ten free 4×6 inch photo prints using the Printacular app. The prints can be picked up for FREE at your local Walgreens shop. This is the first time this offer appeared, so I do not know if it one per line, or one per account. Time will tell when it rolls out.

The other two options are “returning champions”, the Wendy’s Small Frosty, and a Vudu movie rental. Except for last week, all previous Vudu promotions were a $5.50 store credit. Last week, the freebie was an actual movie rental out of a handful of Halloween choices. So there is a bit of a question-mark here, will the Vudu offer be an actual rental from a list of choices, or will it go back to the usual $5.50 store credit? (needless to say, the store credit is more flexible since you can also put it towards the purchase of movies or TV shows. Also better for Vudu in the long term since they get new customers to actually pay).

Halloween themed T-Mobile Tuesday on October 11

UPDATE 10/11/16: indeed, the Vudu promotion is not a store credit but a free HDX movie rental from a choice of 24 movies. You select them from a list at the special Vudu page that the T-Mobile Tuesdays website redirects you. It looks like this (on a desktop browser):

T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for October 4: ESPN Magazine, Wendy’s and Lyft

UPDATE: the ESPN Magazine is actually a print subscription delivered by mail. It is not a digital subscription!

ORIGINAL POST
October 4 in 2016 is when Google is planning a big announcement, but don’t let that distract you from another T-Mobile Tuesday! This round has three offers, headlined by a 1-year subscription to ESPN Magazine. Previous magazine offers (GQ, Wired, Bon Appetit, Allure) were all digital subscriptions, so presumably this one will be digital too.

tmobile_tuesday_october4

The other two offers are returning regulars:

  • free Lyft ride (up to $15)
  • free Wendy’s Frostie (remember, this requires instant redemption at the cash register, you can’t do it ahead of time)

With the new Fall 2016 TV season under way, this would have been a great time for the Vudu credits (eg to get Season Passes), but unfortunately this is the second week in a row without Vudu participating.

T-Mobile Tuesday Freebies for 9/27/16: 1-Year WIRED, Lyft Ride, Wendy’s Frosty and JackThreads Coupon (Boo!)

Time sure does fly these days. Another Tuesday has arrived, and this means another round of freebies for T-Mobile customers. This round, for September 27 in 2016 is on the so-so front, there are three freebies and one coupon. The coupons are a disturbing trend since they are not really a freebie but a coupon 🙂

tmobile_tuesday_sept27

No Vudu store credit this time, but two regular offers are back, the Lyft ride credit (up to $15), along with the Wendy’s small Frosty. I hope the stores finally figured out how to do the Frostries because every time (except for one) that I tried to use those, I got confused and puzzled cashiers.

The coupon is a 25% off coupon for JackThreads, it’s really more of an advertisement for JackThreads than a freebie for T-Mobile customers. Another way T-Mobile straddles the Un-Carrier and Totally-A-Carrier divide 🙂 Politicians are everywhere these days.

Last but not least, the best offer of this lot is a 1-year digital subscription to WIRED magazine. You have to follow the steps outlined in the promotion. The redemption must happen by 5am ET on Wednesday, but don’t wait until the last minute. Even though it’s a digital subscription, their forms are data-hungry for customer information. Give them as much as you feel comfortable with, eg whatever is necessary for the digital subscription.

T-Mobile Tuesdays for September 20 headlines by Buffalo Wild Wings

The T-Mobile Tuesdays website is teasing the new round of freebies for September 20 in 2016, and we have a new headliner, spoiler in the picture below, it’s a new entry, Buffalo Wild Wings!

tmobile_tuesday_sept20

T-Mobile Tuesday for September 13: Petsmart and three returning champions

Time flies, another T-Mobile Tuesday is fast approaching, and for the September 13 (2016) edition, we have a new headliner offer, it’s $7 off your purchase at Petsmart. The discount is good at their brick and mortar stores only, and only for 9/13/16. I am assuming this is one per line, not per account, since there is no way to restrict it.

tmobile_tuesday_sept13

The other three offers are three returning “champions” that have been frequently featured:

  • Vudu $5.50 Store Credit, only one can be applied to each individual Vudu account per week, use it by Sunday night, because they expire before Monday night
  • Small Frosty at Wendy’s – this one has to be claimed LIVE at the cash register
  • Lyft Ride (up to $15) – I haven’t done this so I don’t know how it works

T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for September 6 headlined by Subway chicken sandwich

It’s gluten overload time at the T-Mobile Tuesdays for September 6 in 2016 where the headliner freebie is a very specific item, a 6-inch Subway Oven-Roasted Chicken sandwich. You can customize the sandwich any way you like, but the main ingredient (oven-roasted chicken) cannot be changed. If you are vegan/veggie, you can always ask them not to put chicken in the sandwich or ask for the chicken on the side and you can hand it off to your barbarian meat-eating human friend or pet friend (assuming they are allowed to eat chickens) 🙂

tmobile_tuesday_sept6

This is the first time they are doing this, so I do not know how it will work. Will it be a unique promo code like the Dominos offer or some kind of cash register wizardry that only works for 2 minutes like the Wendy’s frosty? Also unknown for now is whether the limit is one per line (if you have multiple lines) or one per account. I am assuming it would be one per line since they would have no way of restricting it at the cash register…

… unlike the Vudu offer, which is restricted in your Vudu account, so you can only add one $5.50 store credit per Vudu account per week. Speaking of which, it is returning as well, and the timing is right as Season Passes for some of the Fall TV shows are starting to pop-up.

The teaser only has three items so far, maybe something else will get added by Tuesday morning. The third freebie is a returnee as well, the $15 Lyft ride credit.
