T-Mobile Tuesday offers for 8/30/16 revealed: Three returning champions and sad Shell gas coupon

The T-Mobile Tuesdays offers for Tuesday August 30 in 2016 are teased in their app and website and it’s a mixed bag. The headline is definitely MEH, it’s really a sad coupon, not a freebie. You get 25c off per gallon when you refill at Shell stations, and that sad coupon is capped at 20 gallons. This may be fine if you fill up at Shell, otherwise, it may be more expensive than your regular gas station.

tmobile_tuesday_august30

The other three offers are returning champions, the Wendy’s Small Frosty, the Lyft ride (up to $15) and the very utilitarian $5.50 Vudu store credit (make sure you use it before Monday of the next week, they seen to expire before Monday 11:59pm).

The reason I’m grumbling about the Shell coupon is that there’s a danger in these type of offers becoming just a thinly veiled advertisement in the form of small coupon, instead of the free #GetThanked promotions that were promised and are partially getting T-Mobile more and more new subscribers.

T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for August 23 (2016) revealed [updated]

UPDATE 8/23/16: Indeed, the Harper Collins e-book offer is one e-book per line, and the service delivering them is BookShout, the same e-book service T-Mobile used for their previous free e-cookbook. If you have more than one line on your T-Mobile account, you can get more than one free ebook per Bookshout account.

ORIGINAL
This post contains SPOILERS about the August 23 (2016) freebies that are part of the T-Mobile Tuesdays for their paying customers. Okay, this is not a TV show, so the spoilers are a joke, but the offers are not…

tmobile_tuesday_august23

The scheduled offers feature the return of the Vudu $5.50 store credit, which is added to your account, and must be spent before Monday night of the next week, otherwise it evaporate in this air. You don’t have to use it for a movie rental, you can use it toward the purchase of a movie, or a TV episode or a TV season. It’s a store credit. The limit is one credit per Vudu account, so even if you have multiple T-Mobile lines, you can only add one $5.50 credit per week (when it is offered).

The new offer of the lot is Harper Collins books (presumably e-books since they are a lot cheaper to deliver). Per the teaser, we get one free book from a choice of ten. The previous time they did an ebook offer it was through Book Shout but I don’t know if Harper Collins will offer them through that or otherwise. I’m assuming you can pick a different ebook per line if you have multiple lines.

The other two offers are returnees as well, the $15 Lyft ride, and the small Wendy’s frosty. I haven’t done the Frosty in a while, all but one of the previous times I tried to redeem this, the cashier was utterly confused on what to do, and I felt bad for them, so I stopped trying to redeem it 🙁

PS: unless they were instructed by management to play dumb to discourage redemptions 🙂

T-Mobile Tuesday offers for August 16 headlined by T-Mobile T-Shirt

UPDATE 8/16/16: it looks like both the T-shirts and the digital magazine subscriptions are one per line, not one per account. You get unique activation codes for each one!

The week of T-Mobile Tuesday offers that got pre-empted by the Pokemon madness is finally being added to the rotation. According to the teasers at the T-Mobile website/app, the offers for Tuesday August 16 in 2016 are headlined by a …T-Mobile T-shirt. That’s right, you can blind everyone around you with a big blast of Magenta 🙂

tmobile_tuesday_august16

The rest of the offers are:

  • small Frosty at Wendy’s
  • $15 to spend at Gilt.com
  • 1-year digital subscription to Allure (magazine)

As far as the t-shirt, since this is the first time it will be offered, I do not know if it will be one per LINE or one per ACCOUNT. This is relevant if you have multiple lines per account. So it could determine whether you get one t-shirt for the whole account or one per person/line…

T-Mobile Tuesday Freebies revealed for August 9: Five items!

The T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for existing customers have been revealed for Tuesday August 9 in 2016. We get FIVE freebies this time, instead of the usual four. And we have a return, the Vudu $5.50 Credit is back! Here’s a screenshot, with the list below:

tmobile_tuesday_august9

  • Cookbook in eBook format: “Claudia’s Cocina” from Bookshout (the ebook service)
  • Vudu Movie Rental = $5.50 credit not just for rentals, you can use it on TV and movies, rentals or purchases
  • Wendy’s small Frosty is back too
  • Free Lyft Ride (up to $15 credit)
  • 1-Year of Pokemon Go data (until end of August 2017; NOT stackable, once per line)

Furthermore, one of the grand prizes is something actually useful, a Samsung Galaxy Note 7! I’m assuming this will be the T-Mobile version, not factory unlocked, but if I win it, I won’t say no, I will say nom-nom-nom-nom 🙂

T-Mobile Tuesday August 2 freebie is Suicide Squad tickets [updated]

UPDATE: they have now updated the page/app with the full teaser for Tuesday 8/2/16, it is (as I speculated) headlined by Suicide Squad movie tickets. We also have the return of the small Wendy’s frosty (remember this one has to be redeemed in-store within a 2-minute window as you are placing the order). The other two offers are returning from last week, 1-year of Pokemon data, and $15 Lyft ride credit. Here’s the screenshot:

T-Mobile Tuesday Freebies for July 26: Lyft credit, HotelTonight coupon, 1yr Conde Nast Traveler (digital), and …Pokemon Go

The time is almost upon us once again MagentaHeads! A new Tuesday is upon us, and the teasers at the T-Mobile Tuesdays app reveal the freebies for July 26 in 2016. You can see them in the screenshot below, and in text form after that:

tmobile_tuesday_july26

The Pokemon promotion returns in case you missed it last week, or forgot to add it to all your T-Mobile lines. With this offer, which you just have to claim through the app or website (no other action needed), you get free Pokemon Go data until August 2017. This offer is not stackable, if you already claimed it last week, it won’t add any additional time since it has a specific expiration date, 8/31/17.

Lyft returns again with another ride credit up to $15, while the other two offers are brand new. You get a 1-year digital subscription to Conde Nast’s Traveler magazine (these are claimed through the publisher and can be viewed using various newsstand app (eg Google Play Magazines)). Last and probably least, you get a $30 off at Hotel Tonight which sounds more like a coupon-ad than an actual freebie. We give you hard truths here 🙂

What’s missing? No more free frosties at Wendy’s and no more $5.50 credits at Vudu 🙁 The offers that got pre-empted last week for Pokemon Go that includes a free T-Mo t-shirt are not part of this week either.

Pokemon takes over T-Mobile Tuesday for 7/19/16

The Pokemon craze killed these T-Mobile Tuesday freebies for July 19 in 2016, and instead replaced them with a Pokemon-centered promotion that has these four set of freebies, screenshot below:

tmobile_tuesday_july19

The headliner of this deal is 1 year of free data when playing Pokemon Go. More specifically, the data won’t count against your data plan until August 2017. You still have to do the claim the prize song and dance using the app or the T-Mo Tuesdays website.

Two of the other offers got adjusted to compliment this. A 50% off sale on portable power chargers; the thought being that playing Pokemon like a raving lunatic eats up your battery, so you need more backups 🙂 And a $15 Lyft credit so you can travel to Pokemon adventures 🙂

The only constant between the two is the return of the Wendy’s Frostie, the only freebie that has been offered every week since this whole thing began.

This week also marks the end of the Vudu $5.50 store credit. I do not know if that’s it or it will return at some point in the future.

These T-Mobile Tuesday Deals got killed by Pokemon

We have another victim of the Pokemon 2.0 Craze. A set of very nice T-Mobile Tuesday deals that got preempted for a Pokemon bundle. These were supposed to go live on Tuesday July 19, 2016, but they got pulled and replaced by a Pokemon-themed set.

The reason I am mentioning them here is that there’s a reasonable possibility that they may appear next week or a few weeks later. And they were a nice set of deals, screenshot below:

tmobile_tuesday_july19_cancelled

The most interesting of the group? A T-Mobile t-shirt ~ it would have been a fun thing to get. They also include a 1-year digital subscription to your choice of GQ or Allure magazines, along with a $15 Gift store credit, and the returning champion, the Wendy’s frostie.

Freebies for T-Mobile Tuesday July 12 teased

Tuesday July 12 in 2016 is going to be crazy for online shoppers because it’s going to be Prime Day, but if you are a T-Mobile customer, don’t forget that on that day, a new round of freebies will go live from the T-Magenta! The teasers for next Tuesday reveal the offers, three returning offers and one new. Here’s the screenshot followed by the list in text format:

tmobile_tuesday_july12

  • $5.50 Vudu Credit (purchase or rent TV or Movies)
  • one small Wendy’s Frostie (must be redeemed in-store, no redemption code)
  • Lyft ride up to $15
  • looks like a $10 credit at The Clymb (this is the NEW offer)

Remember, the offers are available per line, so if you have two lines in your account, each line gets its own set of freebies. However, some have restrictions, for example, Vudu allows only one $5.50 credit per week per Vudu account.

T-Mobile Tuesday offers for July 5 revealed

Time flies faster and faster, a new Tuesday is almost upon us, and T-Mobile is teasing the upcoming Tuesday July 5 (2016) offers on their app. As you can see from the screenshot below, we have one new offer and three returning promotions.

tmobile_tuesday_july5

The four freebies are:

  • $20 Stubhub Concert credit
  • $15 Lyft ride credit
  • $5.50 Vudu credit (buy or rental TV/movies)
  • Small Wendy’s Frostie

All but the Wendy’s can be redeem as unique promo codes you have to use. The only one that requires immediately redemption in-store is the Wendy’s frostie. You don’t get a unique code, you just have to press the option in the app when you are at the Wendy’s cash register ~ and hope the Wendy’s cashiers were trained on how to do this.

The other thing to note is that Vudu’s credit expires earlier than the end of day on Mondays. So if you plan to use it, make sure you use it before Monday. This six day window is only on using the credit. Once you use the credit, the purchases/rentals follow the standard Vudu terms (30 day window for rentals, “forever” for digital purchases).

T-Mobile Tuesdays Freebies revealed for June 28

UPDATE on the Bon Appetit Offer
This is a 1-year digital subscription but to get started you need to provide name, email, and mailing address. You can select whether to receive any emails from Bon Appetit or not. Once you do that, you get an account number and then you can get your digital subscription on iPad (iOS) and Android (Google Play) and Nook (using Barnes and Noble account) and Kindle Fire (Amazon account).

UPDATE Tue 6/28/16 at 3:52pm ET: things are more stable now, but yet another way to get the Rewards faster is to use the text message that T-Mobile sends you to your registered phone numbers. It uses a live T-Mobile subdomain and gets you all the promo codes in one page. This works for three of the four offers, Wendy’s can only be redeemed in-store when you are facing the register.

UPDATE Tue 6/28/16 at 2:30pm ET: technical difficulties continue… Remember the offers expire at 5am ET on Wednesday so if you try late at night, you can still get them. This does not help with Wendy’s though since that has to be redeem “LIVE” at the cash register in Wendy’s stores… Hopefully they’ll extend the offers until Friday like they did last week…

ORIGINAL POST
Another week is here, which means if you are a T-Mobile customer, a new round of freebies arrives on Tuesday June 28, 2016. The freebies have been teased on the T-Mobile app (which requires an upgrade if you are on Google Play, so do it NOW, before the Tuesday madness begins).

They are, as you can see in the screenshot below:

tmobile_tuesday_june28

  • 1-year Digital Subscription to the magazine “Bon Appetit” (does not say how the digital subscription will be delivered)
  • One Movie Theater ticket through Fandango
  • A $5.50 store credit for Vudu (returning offer)
  • A small Frosty at Wendy’s (returning offer)

CAUTION for VUDU CREDITS: they expire SOONER
For some reason Vudu voids the credits BEFORE the end of day on Monday. I just checked now on Monday before 5pm ET, and my credit disappeared. So my suggestion for Vudu is to use the credit as soon as possible. Do not wait until after the weekend!

Three of the T-Mobile Tuesdays Offers Extended until Friday June 24

It’s hard to argue against freebies, even if you have to jump over an extra hoop. This week’s T-Mobile Tuesdays June 21st freebies had technical hick-ups as well, so to make up for it, T-Mobile is offering a grace period on three of the four offers!

If you haven’t already claimed any of those offers, do not be disheartened by the app or website telling you they expired. Go in the Expired section and find the offers with a 6/22/16 expiration date for Vudu or MLB or Lyft. Click on them. Pay attention to the fineprint, circled in the screenshot below:

tmobile_extended_until_friday

Click on the magenta “More Info” link and you will get a page full of unique redemption promo codes for the Vudu ($5.50 credit), MLB ($20 off), and Lyft (ride up to $15). Write down those numbers or take a screenshot, or cut and paste the text (it is text) and save it in a note or Dropbox or Evernote or your desktop.

Then proceed with the redemption. The Wendy’s offer has not been extended but it looks like it will return next Tuesday (June 28) per the text there.

These make-up extensions of the offers are good until Friday 6/24/16.

T-Mobile Tuesdays Freebies for June 21: MLB Coupon, Lyft $15 credit, Vudu $5.50 credit, Wendy’s Frostie

It is Tuesday, and if you are a T-Mobile member, this means it’s freebie time again! As of 2:07pm ET, the T-Mobile Tuesdays website is returning server errors. Their apps were working fine earlier in the day. The freebies for this week are three carryovers from last week, and one new offer, a $20 off coupon for purchases at the MLB website.

Freebies for T-Mobile Tuesday June 14 have been revealed!

Freebies time! The T-Mobile Tuesdays app has revealed the four freebies’ for Tuesday June 14, 2016. Three of the four freebies are the same as last week, perhaps giving people a chance who missed out on the first giveaway to get them again.

Here’s a screenshot of the freebies with their names annotated on the page. The new freebie is a Lyft ride up to $15. It replaces the Fandango “Warcraft” movie ticket. The other three are the same. The Dominos medium 2-topping pizza and Wendy’s small frostie should work fine, the only question is whether the Vudu movie rental offer is good even if you took advantage of last week’s. Last week’s Vudu code expires Monday 6/13/16 night, so you can’t stack them.

tmobile_tuesdays_june_14

Even though the offers are one per line, last week, you could only have one Vudu movie rental credit per Vudu account. The movie rental credit can also be used for purchases of movies or TV shows. It’s really a $5.50 Vudu store credit 🙂

PS: if you are not familiar with how these work, check out our T-Mobile Tuesdays Explainer post.

T-Mobile Customers Only: Freebies Every Tuesday and How To Get Them

UPDATE #4: the Weekly promotions are offered per T-Mobile line, so if you have multiple lines on the same account, everyone gets the freebies. The exception so far is the T-Mobile share, only the primary account holder gets that. The other restriction is that for some things, like Vudu credit, you can only add one credit per Vudu account (an issue only if one person has two lines).

UPDATE #3 on 6/7/16 at 8:32pm ET: both the Website and the Android app are working again, so you can redeem any of the offers you may have previously missed! The four offers available are Domino’s (free 2-topping medium pizza), Wendy’s (small frosty), Vudu ($5.50 credit for use at their website), and Fandango (free ticket for the new “Warcraft” movie to watch this weekend).

You must claim/redeem these by 5am ET on Wednesday 6/8/16…

UPDATE #2 on 6/7/16 at 2:46pm ET ~ it is #FAIL everywhere. The apps, the website, the offers. It is Day #1 but still, when you are supposed to be “getting Thanked” and instead you waste your time trying to get a freebie and you get nothing, so you end up with a net negative.

UPDATE #1: You don’t have to use the iOS or Android app, there is always the T-Mobile Tuesdays website where you can login with your T-Mobile account. It has the same user interface as the mobile apps.

ORIGINAL POST (6/6/16
If you are a T-Mobile customer, starting tomorrow (6/7/16), you will get FREEBIES from T-Mobile every Tuesday. This was announced as part of the Uncarrier 11 event (see YouTube Stream, advanced to the 18 minute mark of the raw footage).

The benefits will change every week. You have to grab them on that particular Tuesday by adding them to your account. If you miss a particular Tuesday haul, it is gone, but they will have new ones every Tuesday (as long as the program continues).

For the first launch Tuesday (6/7/16), you will get four freebies without any strings attached to them, a Domino’s pizza, a Wendy sugar frostie thing, a movie rental from Vudu, and a movie ticket to the brand new movie Warcraft (based on the popularly addictive game).
