1 Gallon Refined Organic Nutiva Coconut Oil for $19

If you like to use steam refined coconut oil, but still organic, Amazon has you covered! One Gallon of Nutiva is on sale for just under $19. Free shipping if you are a Prime member or with a $35+ order. A gallon is a measure of volume but needless to say, one gallon is a lot of coconut oil. Per the container, it is 259 tablespoons, which a tabletspoon defined as 15 mL (standard volume of a tabletspoon).

A typical 16 fluid ounce container of coconut oil, such as the Trader Joe container, has 30 servings of 15mL tablespoons. So this is over eight Trader Joe containers! Keep in mind though, the one here on sale is refined (some people prefer it for some cooking and cosmetic and household uses).

This is not a lightning deal, and you can buy up to ten gallons per customer. This is from the normal Amazon website, not PrimePantry or Fresh!

27oz Crisco Refined Organic Coconut oil for $7

If you are looking for refined coconut oil, and you like the Crisco brand, we have good news for you. They too have jumped on the coconut oil bandwagon and they are offering their 27 oz organic refined coconut oil for $7 through Prime Pantry. It averages 4.2 out of 5 based on 37 customer reviews.

Some people prefer unrefined coconut oil for all uses, while some others prefer refined for some cooking or cosmetic or household applications. There are many choices out there these days, you decide 🙂

PS: if you are buying this, don’t forget to combine it with the Buy Five and No Rush Credit promotions for Prime Pantry.

78oz Nutiva Organic Virgin Coconut Oil for $18 w/coupon and S&S

Jump aboard the Coconut Oil hype train with a good deal! The 78oz Nutiva Organic Virgin Coconut Oil container (not glass) is going for $22.59 currently at amazon.com as a “Subscribe and Save” promotion. But on that option, there is also a green 20% off Clip-On coupon. When you click and clip that, it drops the price to around $18.

This makes it roughly $3.70 per pound, which is pretty pretty good for organic and virgin coconut oil! This is cold pressed and unrefined! It is a popular one, it averages 4.7 out of 5 based on over 8500 customer reviews.

You can cancel or adjust the “Subscribe and Save” at any time. The coupon is only available for the “Subscribe and Save” purchase option, not the regular one.

16oz Trader Joe Coconut Oil drops to $5.50

Coconut oil fans, if you live near a Trader Joe, we have good news for you! Their 16oz virgin cold-pressed coconut oil is now down from $6 to $5.50. This is stored in a glass container, not plastic, so, assuming you are willing to clean out the last remaining coconut oil remnants from the bottle, you get to keep a glass container 🙂

If you don’t live near one, and you buy it from Amazon or eBay, you would pay 2-3x the price because the people selling it have to pay for shipping, plus eBay/Amazon fees, plus profit for their effort. In those cases, you are better off looking for alternatives…

Speaking of which, the 54 oz containers at Amazon definitely beat Trader Joe in price, but the coconut oil is stored in a plastic container, not glass. The one you see in the picture below is the 54 oz Carrington Farms (organic, virgin, unrefined, cold pressed) which goes for around $16.

Even with the discount, it still “defeats” the Trader Joe price. You pay $16.50 to get 48 ounces at Trader Joe, but on the other hand, you also get to keep the three glass containers (if you need them). I have both, but I haven’t done a side-by-side comparison, however, I have no problems with the Carrington Farms.

Competing with Carrington on price at Amazon is the 54 oz Island Fresh which currently goes for $17, but between discounts, lightning deals, subscribe and save discounts, and coupons, these two play leapfrog on price. I am planning to try the Island Fresh once I run out of the Carrington, which could take a while. 54 oz is A LOT 🙂

54oz Carrington Farms Organic Coconut Oil beats Trader Joe prices

If you happen to live or travel near a Trader Joe, they have one of the best deals on coconut oil. A 16oz glass jar for $6. That’s pretty good since many of the organic unrefined you find elsewhere go for twice as much. But if you are a frequent users of coconut oil, you can get a better deal per ounce at Amazon. They have the 54oz Carrington Farms Organic Coconut Oil for $17. You don’t even need a calculator, because 48oz of Trader Joe (three jars) cost $18.

16oz GuruNanda Organic Virgin Coconut Oil for $8

If you are a fan of coconut oil, especially if you don’t live near a Trader Joe where you can get theirs for just $6 per 16oz jar, there’s the internet. At the moment, you can get the 16oz GuruNanda Organic Virgin Coconut Oil for $8, with a limit of 30 per customer. The seller is “Healthland LLC” and the order is fulfilled by Amazon.com, so if you are a Prime member, you get free 2-day shipping.

This is described as cold-pressed, unrefined, certified organic, and virgin. The term “extra virgin” is more of an olive oil term, I’m not sure why they are using it for coconut oil – probably part of the “marketing wars”. This particular coconut oil averages 4.7 out of 5 based on 150+ customer reviews.
