Lucky’s (Sept 22-24): Buy TWO Ben & Jerry Ice Cream Pints for $4 Total

If you are a fan of Ben and Jerry pints of ice cream, we have great news for you! Rent a U-Haul and head over to Lucky’s grocery stores between Friday morning through Sunday night. They have a two for $4 promotion on pints of B&J ice cream! You have to buy in multiples of two to get the $2 per pint price.

IF you buy one pint, the price is not bad either, but it’s more: it’s $3 for the pint. There’s no coupon code to enter, their cash register automatically adjusts prices. But as always, double check before paying or at least before leaving the store, so you can fix it without having to return to the store!

The promotion runs Friday-Sunday, September 22-24 in 2017 at Lucky’s B&M grocery stores.

Ben and Jerry Ice Cream Pints for $2.49 each [must buy them in 4s]

Good news if you like Ben and Jerry ice cream. Bad news if you are counting calories! At Smart and Final brick and mortar stores, good until Tuesday July 25 (2017), the Ben and Jerry Great Temptation of 2017 is back! You can buy pints of Ben and Jerry ice cream (16 oz) for $2.49 each! There is only one catch, you must buy them in multiples of four. Meaning you buy four, or eight, or twelve, and so forth. This is a volume buy discount. If you buy only one or two or three, you pay for $3.49 each instead of $2.49. That’s not a bad price either, but $2.49 is better 🙂

This sale is a good opportunity to try different kinds of Ben and Jerry. Don’t buy all four of your favorite. Be adventurous! Try a new flavor 🙂

Trader Joe deal: Pint of Humboldt Organic Coffee Chip Ice Cream for $2

If you are near a Trader Joe, your local store may have or may be getting this in! An ice cream of hippies! One pint of organic coffee (with chocolate chip) ice cream from Humboldt is in their freezer for $2. That’s right, yummy organic ice cream for just $2. Less than what you pay for a single scoop at most ice cream stores (and the chain stores are not organic).

I just inhaled the whole pint, so I’m typing this on a sugar and coffee high 🙂 The whole pint is 800 calories (four servings of 200 calories). If you eat the whole pint, that’s 12g of protein, 48% cholesterol, just 8% sodium, but 120% saturated fats. The percentages are based on the RDA standard.

By the time I got home, the top edges were melting, making it taste like a frappucino of sorts. As the name suggests, there are chocolate chips inside but they are not hard or big. They won’t slow down the inhaling 🙂

As you may recall, last year Trader Joe had another special buy from the same ice cream company, they had those $3 rectangular (and reusable) tubs in four flavors (but none of them was coffee). Perhaps this one is closer in flavor to their “Mint Chip”, with coffee replacing the mint 🙂

Note that even though this is a very milky ice cream, it also contains some soy (soybean oil and soy lecithin).

Since this is a frozen ice cream, it is safe from the hoards of eBay and Amazon resellers that scoop a lot of things up from Trader Joe stores 🙂
