A weekend trip at Starbucks? With free AC and free refills as a rewards member? If you check all of the above, check your emails or the Starbucks app for a new promotion that requires opt-in (pressing the “Join the Dash” email button). If you are eligible for this, you will earn bonus stars if you visit after 2pm local time during the weekend of July 28-30 in 2017. That’s Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Three separate transactions get you 25 bonus stars, but if you make five or more separate transactions, you’ll get 75 bonus stars! So if you get to three, it makes sense to make the jump to five! If nothing else, buy small things like the chocolate straw cookie thing, or the string cheese, which are under $1 each 🙂

In addition to the various other bonus stars promotions running, Starbucks has also launched their July 2017 Double Stars day. Per the email I received, it says it will be Wednesday July 26 (2017). I don’t know if every rewards member gets exactly the same day, or if they spread them out throughout the week or month. Regardless, check your email or the Starbucks app to verify that it is so for your account.

The Double Stars promotion do not require opt-in. They apply automatically as long as your account is eligible for them. With the two new $8-ish salad bowls/platters, the value of a Reward Star has increased, assuming you’ll redeem your free rewards on the new expensive $8 salad bowl.

As usual, Double Stars days are great for making your coffee beans, and coffee cups and tea bags, and other purchases that have a shelf life. You obviously can’t pre-buy hot coffee to drink for the rest of the way, but you can buy beans or K-cups to drink for the next few weeks 🙂

The summer is heating up and so are the various bonus rewards offers from Starbucks. In the latest offer, sent by email, and needing to be manually activated before earning a bonus, you get 100 Bonus Stars (that’s 80% towards a full reward) when you purchase one each from the following three product categories:

• any Evolution Fresh Juice (these are expensive!)
• any warm (non-breakfast) sandwich
• any breakfast sandwich

If you are not sure how the qualify the sandwiches, check the menu in their app or the big printed menu in their stores! The offer runs July 25-31. You only earn one 100 bonus during this promotional period, it does not roll and repeat.

Starbucks wants, once again, to encourage customers to visit more often in the afternoon, so if you are participating in their Rewards program, check your emails or the app for an offer to manually join a new “After 2pm DASH” promotion. You earn bonus stars depending on how many purchases you make after 2pm local time between July 18-24 in 2017.

You must first click the “JOIN” button in the email or touch the appropriate thing in their app (if the offer is offered through it ~ I haven’t checked). Just like previous times this had been offered, you earn the most bang for your buck at the 6+ visits tier, so if you are at the 4 visit tier, make sure you make a couple more purchases to essentially double your bonus!

The weather is heating up, and so are the Bonus Stars promotions at Starbucks! A brand new just rolled out by email, and if you had been selected by their Big Computers, you have to first manually “Join the Dash” before you’ll earn the bonus points.

This is yet another variation of the After 2pm (local time) Dash. If you make five purchases after 2pm local time, between June 27 and the close of business on July 3 in 2017, you will get 50 bonus stars, in addition to the regular stars from your purchase. Or if you make seven or more, you’ll earn 100 bonus stars. So two extra purchases double your bonus. In other words, if you reach five, you might as well go the extra mile and reach seven.

You only earn this once, so whether you make seven or 70 purchases during this promotional period, you’ll only earn 100 Bonus Stars 🙂

Don’t forget that today (Monday June 26) is a Surprise Double Stars Day.

Also, if you have a Chase Freedom credit card that participates in the 5% Quarterly 5% Rewards, you may want to hold off reloading your Starbucks account until July 1st, because the July 1 through September 30 quarter includes Restaurants and historically Starbucks had been earning 5% through Chase!

Starbucks Rewards already had the June double stars day on the 12th of the month, but surprise-surprise, in a new email they have announced a second Double Stars day for Monday June 26 (2017) ~ two weeks later! You don’t have to manually activate Double Stars, but I don’t know if everyone gets exactly the same day or it is spread out among rewards members.

Check your email or Starbucks app to make sure it is so for your own account. Strategically double stars days are great for restocking on coffee and tea, making “capital purchases” like cups, coffee machines, and other accessories, and things of that nature. Gift cards and reloads do not earn any stars, so it doesn’t matter when you make them.

The weekend is almost upon us, and you may be eligible for another Weekend Dash as part of the Starbucks Rewards. This is by invitation, so check your email or app to see if the Starbucks Rewards computers selected you. If yes, make sure you activate the offer, otherwise you will not earn the bonus.

So, between the store opening on Friday June 23 until the close of business on Sunday June 25 in 2017, you will earn 75 Bonus Stars if you make five purchases (or more), OR you will earn 25 Bonus Stars if you make three purchases. As with other offers, once you get to the first level, you have to try to get to the second level since the bonus is much better!

I should preface this like all other Starbucks Rewards promotion, I have no way of knowing whether the offers are sent to every single person participating in their rewards program, or only a subset based on how their computers decide to target promotions, so it’s always a YMMV as to whether you will be offered this.

This offer is best suited for people who typically buy breakfast and lunch there, since the items are too expensive to buy just for the sake of the promotions. So the offer is this: after you join the challenge, between June 20-27 in 2017, you must needs purchase one item from each one of these three product categories:

• one Evolution Fresh juice (these are not cheap!)
• any Warm (non-Breakfast) sandwich
• any Breakfast sandwich

If you are not certain what’s the difference between a Breakfast and a “Warm” (non-Breakfast) sandwich, check their menu or even faster, check the Order Menu within the Starbucks iOS or Android app.

You don’t have to string together a Cal Ripken Jr type of streak to earn Bonus Stars at this new Starbucks Rewards promotion which you must first activate (if you have been offered it). Between June 13-19 in 2017, you earn bonus stars if you visit on consecutive days after 2pm local time. If you string together four days in a row, you get 25 Bonus Stars, a 5-day streak gets you 50 bonus stars, and a 6-day streak gets you 100 bonus stars.

Unlike previous offers where the number of individual transactions counts, with this promotion, all you have to do is make one purchase (or more) after 2pm local time on each day. The promotion runs for seven days, so if you want to max out, you can only miss the first day or the last day of the promotion.

Realistically this is a good deal if you are a daily visitor and if you have t he flexibility to move your daily visit after 2pm local time. This does not help if you need your Starbucks coffee to wake up on the way to work in the morning 🙂

If you are participating in the Starbucks Rewards program, it looks like Monday June 12 (2017) is Double Stars Day, assuming everyone gets the same day. During Double Stars day, items that typically earn 2X stars per $1 will receive twice that. So you get 4X Stars per $1. This means you only need to spend $31.25 to earn a full reward, instead of the the usual $62.50.

Check your email or Starbucks app to make sure you are eligible for this. Strategically this is a good time to make purchases of coffee beans, tea boxes, coffee cups and such, since you’ll earn twice as many rewards.

Another offer is out from the Starbucks Rewards emailing list. This is a weekender offer and you have to manually activate it by adding it to your Starbucks card. The offer is simple, for the Friday to Sunday weekend (June 9-11 in 2017), you get 25 Bonus Stars if you make three purchases OR 75 Bonus Stars if you make five purchases. This is separate transactions, not separate visits. You will only earn the bonus once during this promotional period.

As usual with these type of offers, you can make the most of them by maxing out, as two additional purchases get you twice as many more bonus stars.

If you like to buy non-breakfast sandwiches at Starbucks, a new promotion got rolled out via email to eligible Starbucks Rewards members. As usual, these are YMMV, so check your email or apps to make sure you are eligible for this ~ because you have to manually activate it first.

The offer gets you 50 bonus stars if you purchase three warm sandwiches. The email is misleading until you read the fineprint at the bottom. It is “any warm sandwich” because the fineprint further down says Breakfast Sandwiches are EXCLUDED. If you are not familiar with the distinction, check the menu on their website or within the app (faster to look at the menu there, using the Ordering menu).

So given the above, this offer is best suited for all of you who regularly buy non-breakfast sandwiches. Otherwise it’s too expensive just to earn a 50 bonus, which is just 40% of a full reward.

PS: don’t forget, a really good deal, reload $10+ with ChasePAY and get two FULL rewards. This is one of the best Starbucks Rewards ever! Two full size rewards can be redeemed for the most expensive food or drink item, easily surpassing the $10 reload amount 🙂

UPDATE 6/6/17: Success! The 250 Bonus Stars have been loaded to my account! This is one of the best Starbucks Rewards promotions ever! All you have to do is reload your balance (which you would do anyway to keep feeding your habit) using Chase Pay and you get two free FULL Rewards 🙂

This is a very easy way to score TWO FULL rewards as a bonus with the Starbucks Rewards program. All you have to do is RELOAD your existing Starbucks app/card with $10 or more, paid with Chase PAY! This promotion just came via email. There is no manual activation needed, but I don’t know if it is targeted or everyone can use it. 250 Bonus Stars are the equivalent of two full rewards if you redeem them within six months of issuance.
