New Amazon K-Cups Sample Box for $8

Your Prime membership is hard at work with a brand new K-Cups Sample Box! You pay $8 and you get a box of various K-Cups from Peet’s, Brooklyn, Green Mountain, and more. You will receive a minimum of seven K-Cups in your sample box.

After you receive your Sample Box, a credit of $8 will be automatically added to your Amazon account. Amazon will notify you by email that the credit is in your account. Then you can use that $8 credit to make a purchase from these 100+ eligible K-Cups from a various companies.

While the Sample Box is all coffee, the redemption of your $8 credit has more flexibility. In addition to coffee, there’s also various teas and hot cocoa and such.

Strategically it’s a good idea to check the redemption options first, make sure there’s at least one or two agreeable items, and only then commit to buying the Sample Box. Otherwise you may end up buying things you don’t really want 🙂

PS: as with previous offers, this is restricted to PRIME members only.

Motorola Moto G (4th Generation; 2GB/32GB) for $130

On the other half, if you want to stay under $150, and you are not tempted by the Moto G5 Plus offer, fear not, Amazon has a budget deal for you too IF you are a Prime member and you do NOT object to the “Lockscreen Ads” version of the Motorola Moto G (4th Generation) in the 2GB RAM with 32GB on-board storage denomination.

This very model is currently on sale, probably for a limited time only, for $130 with free shipping at amazon.com. Limit one per customer since this is a pretty, pretty, pretty good price (as the returning in October Larry David likes to say). The offer is only good on the black color scheme.

The standard versions without the Amazon Lockscreen Ads go for $200, so the difference is definitely big enough at the moment to put up with the Lockscreen ads.

This Moto G4 is also an “all carrier” smartphone, so you can use it with any of the big four in the US market, including the CDMA duo (Verizon, Sprint), along with the more flexible GSM duo (AT&T, T-Mobile).

This is a USA version, with manufacturer warranty and Moto’s blessings. This too may be eligible for an installment plan, five equal payments on your credit or debit card of $26 each. Screenshot of that:

CLARIFICATION: there are three versions of the Moto G4 phone. There is a PLAY version, a PLUS version, and this version. This version does not have a Play or Plus moniker 🙂

Motorola Moto G (5th Gen) for $250

If you need a smartphone right now that will work on all four major US carriers, and don’t want to wait to see what the Fall of 2017 will bring us, and want to stay under $300, there is a pretty good deal right now on the fifth generation Motorola Moto G Plus, in the more advanced 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option, in the Lunar color scheme, going for $250.

This is factory unlocked, with a USA warranty, and it is sold and shipped by Amazon actual. This is the standard version of the phone, NOT the Prime ad-subsidized model with Lockscreen offers.

So, other things equal, this phone has the best resale value. It is unlocked, a USA model, and works with all four major carriers. Yes, even the CDMA duo of Sprint and Verizon. This is partially thanks to the Snapdragon 625, a chipset that is getting quite a lot of good reviews in bang for the buck phones.

You May Be Eligible For A Simple Installment Plan
But wait, there’s more! The Amazon website may also offer you an option to purchase it with a five installment plan. There is no interest, and no credit check. The Amazon computers predetermine eligibility for these type of offers based on a customer’s Amazon account history and status and offer them automatically. They will simply charge your credit cards $50 for five consecutive months.

Here’s a screenshot for the offer IF eligible:

Fila Men’s Royalty 2 Running Shoes for $22 with free S&H

The FILA eBay Outlet store is proving to be a good source of budget $20-ish exercise shoes. Their latest model on sale is the new condition (in official FILA box) Fila Men’s Royalty 2 Running Shoes offered for $22 with free shipping. They are available in sizes 7-13 and currently have four different color schemes available. Limit five per combo per customer.

I don’t have this particular model, but I purchased two similar models earlier on when they were on sale, the Quadrix and last month I got the Narrow Escape which I even posted an … unboxing blog post 🙂

Friday 1-2pm Local Time: Free 12oz Tall Iced Tea Infusion

If you have flexibility with your lunch schedule on Friday July 14 (2017), and if you are gonna be near a Starbucks store, you can score a FREE 12 oz (Tall size in Starbucks speak) Iced Tea Infusion. These are new drinks, a blend of iced tea with slightly sweetened summer-y flavors (peach, pineapple, strawberry, etc). All you have to do is show up in store between 1-2pm local time. If you have multiple stores near by, no one stops you from visiting them all 🙂

25c Pineapple with AmazonFRESH order

Amazon is making a push for AmazonFRESH as well during Prime Day 2017. As we previously mentioned, you can get a 90-day free trial using Alexa, and a $25 off your first $100+ order, among other offers over there.

Now they are …sweetening things (pun intended) with a 25c Pineapple offer. There is no catch to the 25c price itself, but in order to get the pineapple you must needs:

1) be an AmazonFresh member, which means be a Prime member
2) place an order. Orders over $40 get you free shipping, so most people will shoot for a big order otherwise the shipping fee will defeat the free pineapple 🙂

25% off select Nature Valley and Lara Bars with Prime Coupon

Nom-nom if you are a Prime member! You membership is hard at work with a new grocery clip-on coupon. Select nutritional bars from Nature Valley and Lara Bar are eligible for a 25% off clip-on coupon. The coupon is on the current price, which can change at any time, but given current prices, it makes for some pretty good deals. For example, a 16-pack of Lara Bars for under $12.

The coupon is good for regular purchases and also for “Subscribe and Save”. Any eligible products will show this promotion on their individual product page. This will only work if Amazon actual is the seller, so pay attention to the listing, so you add to cart Amazon’s own offer, not marketplace sellers.

The promotion expires on Tuesday July 11 at 11:59pm pacific, or earlier for any bars that sell out and can no longer be ordered before the coupon expiration.

I am definitely scooping up a Lara Bar 16-packs. Now I have to decide whether to make it a bigger order and take advantage of some of the Add-On deals or not 🙂

New Slow-Shipping Option for Prime members: $10 off Mattress or Furniture or Area Rugs

If you are a Prime member, and you like to get little bonuses by selecting slow shipping for your Prime membership, pay attention in the shopping cart, because, depending on your purchase and the Amazon shopping cart algorithms, you may offered a $10 off discount towards the purchase of a Mattress or Furniture or Area Rugs, if you select slow shipping (“no rush shipping”) instead of the 2-day Prime shipping.

This credit must be spend by 9/30/17. If not, it will expire aka evaporate 🙂 It will be applied automatically by the Amazon shopping cart when you have eligible products in your shopping cart. There’s no coupon code to enter.

If their computer deems you are eligible for this offer, it will appear like this in your shopping cart (screenshot below):

Prime Only: 30% off Luxury Beauty Items with In-Cart Discount

As we get closer and closer to the actual PRIME DAY, Amazon keeps starting up more and more deals. This one is of interest if you like Luxury Beauty items. Good until Monday (7/10/17) afternoon at 5:30pm pacific time, you can get 30% off discount in the shipping on select Luxury Beauty items.

There is no coupon to enter. The price will drop in the shopping cart when you reach the Checkout page and you will see the discount factored in the price totaling box on the right hand side of the page (if using a web browser). As usual with these type of deals, they are only good if Amazon actual is the seller. If the same items are offered by marketplace sellers or in non-new condition, the discount will not apply.

NOTE: this offer is restricted to Prime members. But if you see something you must have, you can always start a 30 DAY Free Trial to Prime and join the party. As long as you cancel before the trial is over, you won’t be charged.

Pay $20 for Amazon Dash Wand, Get $20 credit and 90-day AmazonFRESH Free Trial

With Prime DAY on the horizon, the offers keep on coming at Amazon. This is a bit of an intermediate offer, so I am posting it as a list instead of text 🙂

1. Buy the Amazon Dash Wand (with Alexa) for $20
2. This includes a 90-day Free Trial for AmazonFRESH
3. After you receive the Dash Wand, and after you register it, you will receive a $20 credit towards your future purchases at Amazon. This happens automatically, there’s no coupon code. They typically send an email telling you that the credit has been added to your account (or something like that)

You won’t pay a subscription fee for AmazonFRESH as long as you cancel the service before the free trial expires. If you don’t cancel it, it automatically converts to a $15 per month, month-to-month subscription. You can cancel and restart at any time.

AmazonFresh Doorbuster: $5 for 1lb of Salmon

AmazonFRESH has a doorbuster too. You can get one pound (16 ounces) of Salmon for just $5 through AmazonFRESH. A Prime membership, along with an AmazonFRESH subscription or Free Trial is needed for you to buy this.

NOTE: per two of the customer reviews there, this is farm-raised salmon.

AmazonFRESH: $25 off your first $100+ order

You don’t need ALEXA for this offer, everyone (who is a Prime member) can use this offer. Coupon code FRESH25 gets you $25 off your first order of $100 at Amazon FRESH, Amazon’s fresh grocery delivery service.

You have plenty of time to take advantage of this offer, it expires September 30 (2017) per the terms and conditions over there. Be sure to read them before ordering!

NOTE: AmazonFRESH is only available in some zipcodes, and a Prime membership is a prerequisite in an AmazonFRESH subscription!

Alexa Deal: Score 90-Day Free Trial to Amazon FRESH

Prime Day may be officially starting July 10 at 6pm pacific time, but Amazon has already launched a number of offers on the Prime Day website. One of them is an ALEXA offer, meaning you have to have an Amazon hardware device that is supports Alexa voice ordering.

If you do, and if you are a Prime member (or want to sign-up for a new membership), then you can use ALEXA to start a 90-Day Free Trial to Amazon FRESH. This is Amazon’s fresh groceries to your door service that typically costs $15 per month. It is a month to month service, so if you cancel before the free trial ends, you won’t be charged a monthly fee.

Note however that Amazon FRESH is only available in some regions ~ namely, where Amazon has facilities that can handle fresh food and has the infrastructure for deliveries.

Dockers Men’s Full-Zip French Terry Jacket (Red, XL) under $14

Summer is a good time to stock up on clothes for the other three seasons. If you like the idea of a modest red type of a terry jacket with a zipper (no hood), head on over to amazon.com, where Amazon actual is offering the new condition Dockers Men’s Full-Zip French Terry Jacket for $13.67 in the Extra Large size. The other sizes go for more. It’s almost Larry David style 😉 Limit up to three per customer during the sale.

Rubie’s Star Trek The Next Generation Phaser under $7

Star Trek fans! This is for you! Rubie’s Star Trek The Next Generation Phaser (yes, a phaser!) is on sale for $6.58 at Amazon by Amazon actual. Limit one per customer at the moment. There is a catch however, it is an ADD-ON item, so you must place a $25+ order (regardless of Prime membership status), otherwise their shopping cart will refuse to let you buy it.

This is an officially licensed phaser and it averages 3.8 out of 5 based on 150+ customer reviews. It is powered by AAA batteries (if you want it to make phaser-y sounds).
