Staples and GAP cross-promotional coupons: $25 off $50+ at GAP and 20% off at purchases with purchase at each other’s stores

Staples and GAP have two conditional cross-promotional coupons. Let me explain. If you make a purchase at Staples brick and mortar stores, their cash register spits out a receipt coupon where coupon code STAPLES gets you $25 off an order of $50 or more at the GAP website or their brick and mortar stores. On the other hand, if you make a purchase at GAP, they will get you a coupon for 20% off your regularly priced purchase at Staples. Isn’t it nice when retailers get along as if this was a rosy 50s movie? 😉

The promotions will be spitting out from their respective cash registers until 8/22/15. You have until 8/29/15 to use the coupon codes. A variety of terms and conditions apply as usual.

Aug 16-22: 20% off select iTunes Gift Cards

For the brick and mortar shopping week of Sunday August 16 until the close of business on Saturday August 22 in 2015, at Staples stores, you can get a 20% off discount on select iTunes Gift Cards, in the $100, $50, $30 and $25 denominations. Limit one per customer but since there’s no coupon or rebate, you can revisit and buy more.

Aug 9-15: 15% off Domino’s Gift Cards

If you are fond of Domino’s Pizza, you can essentially get an effective 15% off discount (in addition to future coupons and promotions) at Staples between August 9-15 in 2015. That’s because they have a 15% off sale on Domino’s Gift Cards. No coupons, no rebates, the gift cards are automatically discounted at checkout. Potential money maker after rewards (B&M): 5pk of Staples Copy paper

Good until the close of business on Saturday August 1st (in 2015) at Staples brick and mortar stores, there is the possibility of a money-maker deal when you combine the trio of coupon, rebate and reward. During this promotional window, they offer a 5pk of Staples branded copy paper for $5 after an EasyRebate and a coupon. At the same time, they have a promotion that gets you 25% rewards on your total purchase. The rewards are given on the amount after the coupon but before the rebate.

August 2-8: Buy $50 Xbox Gift Cards, Get $10 VISA via EasyRebate

For the week of August 2-8 in 2015, at Staples brick and mortar stores, according to their weekly ad, if you buy a $50 or more in Xbox Gift Cards, you can receive a prepaid $10 VISA gift card via Easy Rebate. Easy Rebates can be submitted online, so you don’t have to mail anything. Their rebates are very reliable as long as you follow the rules and don’t try any monkey business. The promotion is limit three during this promotional week.

Surprise Bonus Ink Reward from Staples: 50% of your June amount

Surprise, surprise! If you are a Staples Rewards member they have added a surprise limited time reward bonus to your account. This is the first time I’ve seen this type of an offer. You get an extra reward that you can only use towards the purchase ink and toner at Staples stores or their website or online. The amount is 50% of the reward amount your received in June 2015. This is separate from your regular June 2015 rewards. It expires quickly however, July 13!

Back to School Penny Sales start July 5 at OfficeMax and Depot

Yes, the poor students barely got out of school, but that doesn’t stop the Office Supplies Industrial Complex. The Back to School Price Wars officially begin on Sunday July 5 at Office Max and Depot stores in the USA. Their front page of their Weekly Ad (July 5-11, 2015) is loaded with 1c items. You have to make a $5 minimum purchase, which shouldn’t be hard between the sales and the clearance items. If nothing else, pick up a gift card 🙂

The 1c items include sharpeners, erasers, and pencil pouches. The offers are limit three per item, so not bad. At the 25c price level, there’s glue, rulers, and broad tip markers. And at the $1 price point, there’s Sharpies five packs (yum yum!) and Papermate mechanical pencil sets and mini staplers.

The Staples eGift Card promotion is back just in time for Father’s Day! If you purchase a $50 Staples eGift Card (electronic, not plastic) through the Staples Cashstar website, you will receive a $10 promotional eGift card. No coupon code is needed, the offer is activated automatically while it is live.

This promotion is limit four, and ends by 6/20/15 or earlier if they run out. In previous times, sometimes they do run out early, so don’t wait until the very last minute. You can only buy this offer online, since it is administered by Cashstar (the service provider), not Staples stores.

Typically you reach the $300 minimum amount with one $200 and one $100 gift cards, which leaves room for a profit on the transaction, it is essentially a 2% return on investment with a one month vesting period (the time it takes for the rebate to be processed and delivered).
