3-port Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 42W USB wall charger for $12 w/coupon

The previously mentioned $6 USB travel charger is a pretty good deal if you don’t need Quick Charge 2.0, but if you need it, we got you covered too. For a limited time, Aukey Direct on Amazon is offering coupon code 2GXWZ585 ($11 off discount) on the purchase price of their 3-port Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 42W USB wall charger. The current price is $23 minus $11 = $12. It is fulfilled by Amazon, so if you are a Prime member, you get free shipping.

NOTE: only one of the three ports is Quick Charge 2.0 (the orange port). The other two (green) are AI power but not Quick Charge.

NOTE #2: the review average over there is not reflective because there are three different products cross-linked on the same product page. About half of the 280+ customer reviews are for this model. There’s no automated way to calculate the average, but you can filter for this particular product – here is the filtered list of reviews.

20% on new Roku if you have a registered Classic (old Roku player made from May 2008-2011)

If you have one of the older Roku boxes, what they call a “Classic” Roku box, made between May 2008 and May 2011, you may qualify for a 20% off discount towards the purchase of a new Roku box. The dates are manufacturing dates, not purchase dates. The reason for this is that Roku will no longer actively develop or update the older players, so they are trying to encourage customers to upgrade.

IF you are eligible for this offer, check the email address you used to register that old Roku box. They will have sent an email with this title: “Important notice for owners of classic Roku players (made before May 2011).”

Both the coupon code and the url found in the e-mails are unique to each email subscriber, so you can’t use the coupons unless you have been sent one.

The Classic Roku players that will no longer be updated are:

  • Roku HD (2000C), Roku HD (N1100), Roku HD-XR (N1101, N1000)
  • Roku XDS (2100X), Roku XD (2050X)
  • Roku SD (N1050)
  • Netgear XDS (NTV270), Netgear XD (NTV250)

You can find the relevant parts from that email pasted/posted after the jump…

Prime exclusive: Logitech K120 keyboard for $8.50 [limit 5]

Amazon may be dealing with a double edged sword here, they have began offering exclusive offers for Prime members which are not available if you are not a member. This is a plus for members obviously, but they definitely risk alienating a lot of people who are not Prime members. The idea behind this is obviously to nudge more people into trying a Prime membership, but it could backfire. I don’t know. I am a Prime member so it doesn’t bother so, but I don’t know how I would feel if I wasn’t – especially if it was an item I needed or wanted at a good price…

Regardless, that mini essay was to introduce this Prime-exclusive offer, the basic Logitech K120 wired USB keyboard is on sale for $8.50 with free 2-day Prime shipping with a limit of five per customer. Depending on your order and/or location, the shopping cart may also offer you a $5 Prime Pantry credit if you select slow shipping instead. This keyboard, for its price, is doing quite well in reviews, 4.4 out of 5 based on 2200+ of them. Just keep in mind, this is a single figure keyboard, don’t expect miracles 🙂

PS: if you are not a Prime member and/or need a mouse as well as keyboard, you can get the Logitech MK120 keyboard-mouse combo for $14.50 (averages 4.4/5 on 800+ customer reviews).
