T-Mobile Tuesday for June 20 includes a $20 Amazon Music Subscription credit

T-Mobile is improving upon last week with the June 20 Tuesdays freebies for current paying subscribers to their service. The headliner is a $20 credit towards an Amazon Music streaming subscription service, in other words, you get two free months. After those free months, it will automatically convert into a paying subscription until you manually cancel it. Cancelling things is easy at Amazon, you just go to your account page and cancel it. You don’t have to “fight” with customer service or jump through hoops.

The other items are more coupons than freebies, the sad Baskin Robins coupon that isn’t even a straight up B1G1 (Buy One, Get One), and the last one is a $4 movie ticket for Michael Bey’s masterpiece (okay, put that in quotes), “Transformers 5”.

1 Gallon Refined Organic Nutiva Coconut Oil for $19

If you like to use steam refined coconut oil, but still organic, Amazon has you covered! One Gallon of Nutiva is on sale for just under $19. Free shipping if you are a Prime member or with a $35+ order. A gallon is a measure of volume but needless to say, one gallon is a lot of coconut oil. Per the container, it is 259 tablespoons, which a tabletspoon defined as 15 mL (standard volume of a tabletspoon).

A typical 16 fluid ounce container of coconut oil, such as the Trader Joe container, has 30 servings of 15mL tablespoons. So this is over eight Trader Joe containers! Keep in mind though, the one here on sale is refined (some people prefer it for some cooking and cosmetic and household uses).

This is not a lightning deal, and you can buy up to ten gallons per customer. This is from the normal Amazon website, not PrimePantry or Fresh!

Starbucks Streak Bonus Stars offer

You don’t have to string together a Cal Ripken Jr type of streak to earn Bonus Stars at this new Starbucks Rewards promotion which you must first activate (if you have been offered it). Between June 13-19 in 2017, you earn bonus stars if you visit on consecutive days after 2pm local time. If you string together four days in a row, you get 25 Bonus Stars, a 5-day streak gets you 50 bonus stars, and a 6-day streak gets you 100 bonus stars.

Unlike previous offers where the number of individual transactions counts, with this promotion, all you have to do is make one purchase (or more) after 2pm local time on each day. The promotion runs for seven days, so if you want to max out, you can only miss the first day or the last day of the promotion.

Realistically this is a good deal if you are a daily visitor and if you have t he flexibility to move your daily visit after 2pm local time. This does not help if you need your Starbucks coffee to wake up on the way to work in the morning 🙂

Subscribe to Hulu, Get $10 in Plenti points

If you are participating in the Plenti rewards program, and you are interested in starting a new HULU subscription (you haven’t been a Hulu member the last 12 months), you will earn 1000 Plenti points AFTER you pay for your first month of Hulu service. The Free Trial does not count since your rewards earning is triggered by YOU paying for your first paid month. Hulu is $8 per month for the ads tier and $12 per month without ads.

You must link your Plenti account with your Hulu account, so they can figure out that you satisfied the requirement and give you your 1000 Plenti points. 1000 points are the equivalent of $10 spent at RiteAid or Macy’s or Exxon-Mobil gas stations ~ certainly not hard to spend the points 🙂

This offer expires 8/11/17. They also run some other offers after you subscribe to Hulu, eg watch a specific number or type of TV shows and get bonus Plenti points.

June 12 is Starbucks Rewards Double Stars Day

If you are participating in the Starbucks Rewards program, it looks like Monday June 12 (2017) is Double Stars Day, assuming everyone gets the same day. During Double Stars day, items that typically earn 2X stars per $1 will receive twice that. So you get 4X Stars per $1. This means you only need to spend $31.25 to earn a full reward, instead of the the usual $62.50.

Check your email or Starbucks app to make sure you are eligible for this. Strategically this is a good time to make purchases of coffee beans, tea boxes, coffee cups and such, since you’ll earn twice as many rewards.

T-Mobile Tuesdays June 13 is rather meh with free trials and coupons

Last Week’s anniversary had some pretty good freebies, but things are getting balanced out this time around as the Tuesday June 13 (2017) T-Mobile Tuesdays are very meh!

There is no real freebie, it’s more coupons and free trials. You get one month of X-BOX Game Pass which is probably the “best” of the lot. You also get a three month Shoprunner subscription BUT if you have an American Express credit card, you qualify for a FREE membership on an on-going basis.

Then there’s the two coupons, you get 25% off LG Tone headsets inside T-Mobile brick and mortar stores, and worst than a BOGO at Baskin Robins (buy one at full price, get a second one for 99c more). SAD!

Free Assembly with select Grill purchases

Amazon has “Home Services” where you pay local experts to install or assemble different products for you. But sometimes they have co-promotions where Amazon or the manufacturer (or both) pick up the tab for the installation. One such situation is this promotion, if you purchase select Grills from the list shown there, you will receive a FREE assembly.

This happens when you buy the grill. Add it to cart, and then select the delivery option. The price of the assembly service will be automatically adjusted to be FREE. I do not know what the tipping expectations are. Check over there for the terms and conditions.

Weekend Dash: Bonus Stars with more transactions

Another offer is out from the Starbucks Rewards emailing list. This is a weekender offer and you have to manually activate it by adding it to your Starbucks card. The offer is simple, for the Friday to Sunday weekend (June 9-11 in 2017), you get 25 Bonus Stars if you make three purchases OR 75 Bonus Stars if you make five purchases. This is separate transactions, not separate visits. You will only earn the bonus once during this promotional period.

As usual with these type of offers, you can make the most of them by maxing out, as two additional purchases get you twice as many more bonus stars.

Fila Men’s Trail Shoe for $20 with free S&H

This deal is at the Costco website, BUT you don’t have to be a Costco member to buy it! Anyone can buy it and it looks like you don’t even have to pay the 5% surcharge, and you get free shipping. Mine arrived today and it was even upgraded to free 3-day UPS shipping.

This being the new condition Fila Men’s Trail Shoes for $20 with free shipping. Sales tax is collected where required, which is almost everywhere except for States without sales tax. They are available in sizes 8 to 13, with shipping estimates varying depending on size.

Costco is very spartan in their packaging. They put the shoe box into the outer shipping bag and that’s it. You slice open the gray shipping bag and inside you find the cardboard shoe box. You open that, and you find the shoes. They also include a return label in the package. There is a strong material smell in the cardboard container, so it’s not a bad idea to air the shoes for a couple of days before wearing them.

I haven’t worn them yet, but I just posted Text and Pictures Unboxing if you want to get a good feel for them!

Smart and Final Stores: Spend $50+ in Gift Cards, Get $10 off your NEXT purchase there

Parallel and separate from the Lucky’s Gift Card promotion, Safeway’s warehouse chain store, Smart and Final is running its own 10/50 gift card promotion. The terms are similar. If you buy $50+ in eligible gift cards, the Smart and Final cash register will spit out a coupon that will get you a $10 off discount towards your NEXT purchase at Smart and Final. Next can be right after you pay for the gift card purchase.

This promotion runs between June 7-20 in 2017, that’s two weeks worth of shopping. Eligible retailers for this promotion include Best Buy, Lowe’s, Nordstrom, Nike, Panda Express, BJ’s, Regal, and more!

Lucky’s Stores: Spend $50+ in Gift Cards, Get $10 off your NEXT purchase there

If you are looking to buy gift cards for Father’s day or Grads or any other occasion, or no occasion at all, Lucky’s brick and mortar stores are bringing back their $10/$50+ promotion. You buy $50+ in eligible gift cards in the same transaction, and their store’s register will spit out a coupon for $10 off your NEXT shopping trip at Lucky’s stores.

Eligible gift cards can be found in their weekly ad in their stores and website. They include big names like Best Buy, Bed Bath and Beyond, Macy’s, Kohl’s, XBOX, iTunes, and the GAP family of companies.

The promotion runs until June 13 in 2017 at their B&M stores. Limit $200 purchase per transaction.

Speaking of Lucky’s, running for the weekend June 9-11 in 2017, you can get their 30oz Rotisserie chicken for $5 instead of their regular price of $7. No coupon is needed, the price will be reflected at the cash register automatically during the 3-day weekend.

Dozens of Dash Buttons for $3 each [profit of $2 per button assuming you need to order things]

If you like the idea of Amazon’s Dash buttons, and want to make a quick $2 profit per button, then head on over to Amazon, where they have a limited time offer, a total of 37 Dash Buttons are on sale for $3 each instead of their regular price of $5.

What makes it profitable is this: after you buy a Dash button, receive it, configure it, and use it to make an order, Amazon will place a $5 credit in your Amazon account. When the Dash buttons are sold at $5 face value, this is a wash. But when the Dash buttons are sold for less, then you make a profit.

I should point out (in case it’s not obvious from the way the Dash buttons work), you MUST place an order for each button received in order to get the $5 credits. So if you were planning to buy those things anyway, then it’s profitable. If you can’t find anything you want/need to buy using the Dash buttons, then you lose money.

Limit up to three per customer at the $3 per unit sale price.

AMEX Offers: $300 off in Yelp Ads purchases of $300+

If you have a local business that you want to promote, and you have an American Express credit card, you may want to head on over to the American Express Offers. This is the section below your statement summary on the AMEX website, AFTER you logon with your account. There’s a variety of offers swimming in that ocean, but they are targeted, so not every card holder gets every offer.

This offer gets you $300 off a purchase of $300 or more in Yelp Ads to promote your business. This is a promo code to use when making the Yelp Ads purchase, it is not an “Add to Card” promotion. Here is a larger version of the picture below where you can see that the promo code to use for this offer is 0517YELPAMEX300.

Per the terms there, the offer is good for first time Yelp purchases, and it must be paid with an AMEX credit card. The promotion runs until 8/28/17. It cannot be combined with other offers. This is NOT a statement credit or Membership Points. You will get a straight up discount at Yelp. So if you order $310 in Yelp Ads, the coupon will drop the price down to $10. This is a random example, I don’t know what kind of ad packages Yelp offers!

Samsung Books FREEbies for June 2017 are out

It is June 2017 now, so don’t forget to scoop up your latest Kindle First freebie if you are a Prime member. And if you have an eligible Samsung hardware device, AND you don’t object to downloading the Amazon Kindle app from the Samsung app store (it is S-Pen friendly), for the month of June 2017, you can get one of the following ebooks below for FREE!

Unlike Kindle First which offers pre-release e-books, Samsung’s Book Deals offer previously released ebooks that are almost always part of the Kindle Unlimited (KU) program. So if you have a KU subscription, you already have access to all four of these.

Since these ebooks are already out, they have a lot of reviews each, so you can use the reviews scores and text to decide ~ if none of them “sings” to you 🙂

20% off Lara Bars Clip-On Coupon

If you are a fan of the Lara Bars, good news! Amazon has a 20% off Clip-On coupon that is good on both the regular purchases and the “Subscribe and Save” purchases. You can find the coupon available on eligible flavors ~ there are 23 (!) options over there. The coupon only works when Amazon actual is the seller. If you buy it from marketplace sellers (or even Amazon’s other entities like Quisdi or Woot) the coupon will not work.

If you are not sure what to look for, here’s a screenshot of the relevant parts:

I scooped up the Cashew Cookie 16-pack. This does not have nut pieces. Some of the other flavors do. This has emerged as a new flavor of mine in recent months. It was triggered when I found them on clearance at local B&M store 🙂
