Prime only: 24 Roses for $20 at WF with coupon

Now that Amazon owns Whole Foods, they can offer Prime member promotions there as well. Good until Valentine’s day, the barcode coupon you see on the Promotional page can get you two dozen roses for $20 at Whole Foods, instead of their regular price of $25. You have to be a Prime member for this promotion. You don’t have to print the coupon, you can simply show it at the register using your phone or other digital device (just don’t take a desktop computer with a CRT monitor – it won’t work).

The Theory of Everything for $5 (BluRay + DVD + Digital)

If when you buy a movie you like to have it available in all media options, and you like or are curious about the movie “The Theory of Everything”, $5 is all it gets to get it in a bundle that includes the BluRay disc, the DVD disc AND a digital copy too! All these from Amazon actual. You can buy up to five bundles at this price.

There is a catch however, this is marked as an Amazon Add-On item, so you must place an order totaling $25 or more in Amazon shipped products. If not, the shopping cart will simply refuse to let you buy it.

The Blomkamp Film Collection for $10 on BluRay (District 9, Chappie and Elysium)

Grab your Amazon wallets and add to cart now! $10 is all it takes to get this Limited edition collector set that features a trio of Neill Blomkamp Films! His breakout film “District 9”, the fresher take on AI robots in “Chappie” and the movie ruined by Matt Damon (“Elysium”), by far the most conventional and predictable of these three movies.

The limited edition is because you get a 64-page digibook, along with a number of limited release special features on the discs. including an hour of specials on Chappie and an alternate ending. The other two movies get extras too!

You betcha I’m getting one when I place my next Amazon order today 🙂

FILA Men’s Memory Foam Steelprint Shoes for $16 with free shipping

You don’t have to be a Costco member to buy these! And until 2/21/18, they are on sale for $16 with free shipping (plus sales tax if applicable) at the Costco website. They are available in two color options and different sizes. Per the fifteen customer reviews there, these are on the narrow side (and there are no wider options) so keep that in mind. They average 3 out of 5 based on those reviews.

I couldn’t resist the $16 price and I picked up a pair. We have a Text and Pictures Unboxing of them. I haven’t worn them yet, so I can’t opine on the narrowness. I will post updates after I do so 🙂

YMMV: $3 ExtraBucks in yellow CVS Coupon Booklet by mail

This is a YMMV since I have no way of knowing if every CVS ExtraBucks customer is getting this or only a subset as determined by their computers. I haven’t been to a CVS in about a month (I used to go weekly), so maybe their computer is running a “reactivation campaign” to bring back customers who hasn’t shopped there in a while. Regardless…

… this arrived by mail last week, a yellow coupon booklet that has $45 in coupon discounts BUT that’s not all! There is also a flat out $3 Extra Bucks you can use during your next CVS purchase of $3 or more. This is not earned Extra Bucks but an actual out of the blue bonus! Of course I will spend it, so I suppose the “reactivation campaign” is successful 🙂

The $3 Extra Bucks is on the inside backcover of the little booklet (cropped so as not to show the coupon bar code for obvious reasons):

PSA: Plenti Rewards is slowly melting away!

This is a PSA alert! If you are participating in the Plenti Rewards program, shepherded by American Express, is on a slow steady systematic decline. If you have amassed a sizeable number of Points, it’s a good idea to start planning how to spend them.

3.5 pound Big Train Spice Chai Latte Bag for $17

If you are making spiced chai lattes by the gallon [literally, not figuratively] and want a volume buy, at the moment, Amazon actual is offering a Big Train 3.5 pound bag of it for $18~ as a one time purchase or $17~ with the Subscribe-and-Save discount. It averages 4.6 out of 5 based on 15 customer reviews.

Note that this is a lot, so if you are not making it like crazy, you are better off buying in smaller quantities (fresher).

2pk iPhone Glass Screen Protectors for $5.84

This item is trending at the moment at Amazon, it is a two-pack of AMfilm iPhone Glass Screen Protectors going for the very specific price of $5.84. They are sold and shipped by Amazon actual, so as a Prime member you get free 2-day shipping on them [or select the $1 no-rush credit).

These are not an add-on item, so you don’t have to worry about the hard $25+ requirement. This is model number “2pkGL.iPH-6” and it averages 4.2 out of 5 based on over 31,000 customer reviews.

Tiger PDU-A30U-K Electric Water Boiler and Warmer for $104 (with Clip-ON coupon)

If you make a lot of tea and coffee or need hot (or boiling) almost all the time (eg new baby), one way to go about it is to get a dedicated water boiler and warmer that is connected to AC power all the time and constantly keeps water hot (or near boiling; at your preset temperature), so you can use it right when you need it.

One such device is currently on special at Amazon! It is the 3-Liter Tiger PDU-A30U-K Electric Water Boiler and Warmer/, in stainless steel black, going for $130 with free shipping. But what makes it a deal is that if Amazon actual is a seller, there is a limited time 20% off clip-on coupon that drops the price from $130 to $104~. The coupon depends on the price of the item, so if its price goes up and down, the coupon discount will be a percentage of that new price.

On the same listing there are three different versions, a 3L (this one) and a 4L and a 5L, so if you are reading customer reviews over there, make sure you are looking at the correct model.

This can also be handy at a small business or office, especially if your business is food or drink related.

I am certainly tempted by one of these as I drink much and more tea 🙂

Attack On Titan Season 1 BluRay for $28 w/free S&H

Season 1 of the Japanese anime “Attack on Titan” is streaming on Netflix and Hulu. But if you want more content and in BluRay quality, the Season 1 BluRay set (that’s 25 episodes) with some director commentaries and BluRay specials is on sale for $28 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon actual. Limit up to two sets per customer at the sale price.

Season 3 of the Attack on Titan anime is scheduled to come out at some point between Spring and Summer in 2018 and it looks like it will be Season 1 rather than Season 2 length. Season 2 “only” had a dozen episodes.

For a list of episodes, check the very user-friendly epguides website. Not loaded with ads and crap like most entertainment websites these days 🙂

FILA Narrow Escape Training Shoe for $20 with free S&H

They are back on sale again! If you are interested in bargain-price but name-brand athletic shoes, the new condition (inside the official shoe box) FILA Memory Foam Narrow Escape Training shoe in the Men’s design, in sizes 7.5 up to 12, for $20 with free shipping at the official FILA eBay outlet. Limit five pairs per model per eBay customer at the moment.

They are available in two color options at the moment, so this is a good idea if you want to try an “alternative style” with different color left and right shoes, but they are the same shoe, so it doesn’t cause trouble while you are walking 🙂

I purchased them during a previous sale last summer and posted an unboxing blog post.

12oz Chipotle Mayo for $3 [YMMV]

This is a YMMV offer because it keeps going in and out of stock. Perhaps this is how Amazon’s bots try to slow down the purchasing so more people can get a shot at it? I don’t know, but that’s why I’m saying YMMV!

For $2.83, you can a 12 ounce Just Chipotle Mayo, a non-GMO, with no eggs, no dairy, no soy and no gluten. This is made by Hampton Creek.

NOTE that you only get ONE 12 ounce bottle. That little “6 pack” in the first gallery picture is in error! They may have been selling them as 6-packs before, but now, per the reviews and answered questions, you only get one. The listing must have been changed because under shipping weight it says five pounds. However, recent purchases and reviews note that they only received ONE!

So to summarize, you will only receive one 12oz bottle. IF you receive a six-pack instead, it’s “Happy Birthday” to you 🙂

This is an Add-ON item, so you must place a $25+ order is Amazon shipped/fulfilled items. You can get up to four of these at the sale price, so you’ll still need to buy something else to get to $25+…

Kindle First choices for February 2018 are here!

February is here, and long before you celebrate Valentine’s or Chinese New Year, there’s a new round of Kindle First. Or as Amazon likes to call it now, “Amazon First Reads” because they changed how the program works. More specifically, they added to the program. The old way still continues, Prime members pick one out of six pre-release e-books for FREE and can start reading it right away. The addition is that you can also buy one of those books as …hardcover prints.
