12oz Caribou Coffee Costa Rica (Ground) for $3.44

Coffee time! If you like ground coffee from Costa Rica, load up on this! At the moment, Amazon actual is offering 12oz Caribou Coffee Costa Rica (Ground) for $3.44 with a limit of four bags per customer. The only catch is that this is an ADD-ON item, so you must place an order of $25+, elsewise it won’t let you buy it.

PS: this is also eligible for Subscribe-and-Save discounts making it $3.27 per (or less if you S&S five or more items for a particular month).

Free Shipping at Peets.com (and 15% off too)

This is a great opportunity to go on a shopping spree at the Peet’s Coffee website. They are celebrating their 51st year anniversary with a free shipping promotion (no minimum amount needed). On top of that, you get 15% off automatically, no coupon code needed!

The promotion runs starts March 30 and ends Monday night (April 3) in 2017.

Peets is no longer the little engine that could. Now they are owned by billionaires who keep buying coffee companies all around the world. In addition to Peets, they scooped up Keurig / Green Mountain, Paribou, Mighty Leaf, and many more.

So don’t feel bad for them if you make a small purchase and get free shipping. They have infusion of billionaire money in the company 🙂

Starbucks After 2pm Bonus Stars promotion returns

Starbucks really really really wants us to visit their stores after 2pm local time, because the “after 2pm Dash” is back again! As usual, check your emails/apps to make sure you are eligible for the offer AND to manually activate it, because if you don’t, you won’t get the bonus.

The offer is similar to past promotions, it runs for a week, March 28 to April 3 close of business in 2017. You get 50 bonus stars if you make six purchases after 2pm local time, or 100 bonus stars if you make eight. The way it is structured, basically, if you make six purchases, you have to get to eight for a profit. Simply buy $1 items (string cheese, avocado, or $1.25 tangerines [yes they have these too now!]), and you come ahead in terms of stars!

Lucky Rewards: FREE Teddy’s Root Beer on the weekend

UPDATE: so all you need the app for is to load the offer into your Lucky’s rewards account. You don’t need to use the app in-store. So you can install the app, add the freebie to your card, and uninstall the app. It is horrid permissions-wise (Google Play), and it keeps pestering you to turn on Bluetooth. Why the f*ck does a grocery store app need Bluetooth? Which is why it is a good idea to have a phone running Android 6.0 or later, so you can tame some of the out of control permission grabs!

ORIGINAL POST
If you are participating in the Lucky’s Rewards program (it helps if you are near a Lucky’s store), they are back with a new freebie, but this time, you can only claim the freebie using the official Lucky’s app, and you can only redeem it during the weekend. The freebie is a 26oz Teddy’s Root Beer or Ginger Ale. One per customer. You have to claim it using their app, and only on Friday, Saturday or Sunday (March 24-26 in 2017). Enjoy March Madness with a free root beer 🙂

PS: their app is free, you just have to login with your account. If you are worried about permission over-reach, if you are using Android 6.0 or later, you can reign in any permissions you may find objectionable.

Free Brewed Tea with Any Purchase at Teavana stores

If you live near a Teavana store, and can handle the mall traffic, AND more importantly, you can resist and not succumb to above-average sales pressure, then you can get a free brewed tea (16oz hot or 22oz iced) at a Teavana store using coupon code TEA3080 at their cash register WITH any purchase. This is a good opportunity to try an expensive tea for FREE while making a low cost purchase (or buying one of your favorite teas or accessories). Offer ends 3/26/17.

The minimum amount of tea they sell is 2 ounces, so keep that in mind when price-checking. It may be cheaper to look at clearance teaware or accessories 🙂

NOTE: if you are a Starbucks Rewards member, you can redeem a Starbucks Reward for 1 ounce of any tea they have. Another way to try expensive teas without paying crazy bucks. You can also pay at Teavana with the Starbucks app and get Stars.

Starbucks Rewards Double Stars on March 22

If you are participating in the Starbucks Rewards program, check your email or the app. A new promotion just got sent out that announces a second “Double Stars” day for March, Wednesday the 22nd in 2017! This covers almost everything in the store (gift card reloads are NOT eligible for example).

This is great timing, because running until March 27, they have promotion that gets you 25% off take-home on coffee and tea purchases (coffee beans, tea bags, K-cups, etc). They also have a 25% off sale on some of the coffee cups, including a lovely new 16oz at-home hot cup that’s $9 after the discount.

FREE French Baguette with Entree purchase

For March 21 in 2017, to celebrate International (?) French Bread Day, Le Boulanger brick and mortar restaurants will get you a FREE French Baguette IF you purchase an entree (most menu choices under $9), and show them the promotion on your mobile device from their emailing list. Pretty good if you were already planning to eat lunch out or get takeout 🙂

Starbucks Rewards: 75 Bonus Stars on 4 non-breakfast Sandwiches

Starbucks has another YMMV opt-in “Dash” promotion. Check your email or app to make sure you are eligible before jumping in. You have to manually activate it by clicking on the “Join Dash” at the appropriate place in the email or app.

This offer gets you 75 Bonus stars, which are 60% of a full reward, when you purchase four “Warm Sandwiches” between March 21-27 in 2017. Breakfast sandwiches are EXCLUDED from this promotion per the fineprint in their email, so you have to do this with the more expensive paninis. In other words, this offer is best suited for people who already buy these.

If you are not certain on the difference between breakfast and non-breakfast sandwiches check the menus on their app or website or the giant calorie-menu in their stores ~ just don’t look at the calories of your favorite items because they won’t be your favorites any more 🙂

Starbucks After 2pm Week-Long Dash returns (March 14-20; YMMV)

Don’t forget to take advantage of the previously mentioned Starbucks BINGO offer. If you are a frequent shopper there, you should be able to get the whole of the 300 Bonus Stars. This is no small amount. 300 bonus stars are two full rewards plus another 50 points (40% of a full reward).

But time won’t stand still! Starbucks is back with the “After 2pm” Dash. You have to manually opt-in to this offer, so check your email (associated with your Starbucks account) or the app to see if you have been invited. You have to first click the “Join the Dash” button in their email before you earn any bonuses. This is YMMV, I don’t know if every customer gets every offer.

T-Mobile Tuesdays for March 14 include Chipotle Guac and Chips

REDEMPTION DAY: The offer is now live! To get your free chips and guac, you login to the T-Mobile Tuesdays website or app, and proceed. It takes you to a Chipotle promotional website where you have to enter your information. The promotional code will be sent via text, so make sure you enter the correct number there!

Once you enter your info, you will receive a text message. Mine arrived within seconds. The text message has a link. You open that with a web browser, and it has a computer-readable code with the offer. You can bookmark the page, take a screenshot, or even save it to Android PAY!

You must claim the offer by 5am ET on Wednesday, but once you claim the offer, you have until 3/31/17 to use it (get the free guac and chips).

ORIGINAL POST:
Chipotle is boldly going with a T-Mobile Tuesdays freebie. If it wasn’t for the e-coli troubles of a few months ago, this would have been impossible to get #cynic 🙂 Regardless, on Tuesday March 14 in 2017, the headliner of the T-Mobile Tuesdays freebies is a free guacamole and chips at Chipotle. Assuming this is the standard size you can buy at their stores (and not a smaller T-Mobile sample size), this is a meal-size side ~ at least in terms of calories 🙂 And it’s pretty yummy, salt and avocados 🙂

The other freebies include the useful FandangoNOW movie rental (up to $5 towards a single movie rental or the purchase of a TV show ~ which is nice) and two $5 Lyft ride credits. Lyft has been offering T-Mobile credits long before Uber got in trouble in various different ways 🙂

PS: don’t forget to check on April 4 if you are a baseball fan, they will offer 1-Year Subscription of MLB.tv. They already offer this promotion the previous season, it’s legit!

New Starbucks Bonus Stars Bingo a great way to pile up Stars for regular customers

If you are a regular Starbucks customer, you may be able to pile up on Bonus Stars, up to 300 total, if you participate in the new Starbucks Bonus Stars Bingo. You have to manually opt-in to the promotion by clicking on the email or app message for the offer.

Once you do, you have a grid of nine bubbles, each one a “challenge”. You earn 10 bonus stars for each challenge you complete, and bonus stars if you complete three vertical, horizontal or diagonal lines. If you complete the whole board, you will get 300 bonus stars total.

The “challenges” are things like “place three mobile orders” and “visit four different stores” and “buy something before and after 12pm on the same time” and so forth.

The promotion runs until April 3 in 2017, so you have plenty of time to complete the various challenges. Especially if you strategically combine promotions that get you checkmarks on multiple bubbles.

On the website over there, click on each bubble to get a detail on the challenge. Their website is mobile optimized, so you can check from your smartphone. The only annoyance is that you have to login every time 🙁

Get 150 Bonus Stars IF you purchase three qualifying food items (SBUX Rewards)

The Bonus Stars offers are picking up the pace again at Starbucks. This new promotion (that requires manual activation) can get you 150 bonus stars if you purchase three specific items between February 28 and March 6 in 2017 (seven days promotional period). If you regularly eat breakfast or lunch at Starbucks, this is easy to get you. All you need to get is:

  • one breakfast sandwich
  • one salad
  • one bistro box
  • any item from each category is eligible but make sure you are clear what qualifies for each group (eg breakfast versus lunch sandwiches)

You will only earn 150 bonus stars from this promotion even if you buy multiples of each category during this promotional period. The bonus stars will load up on your account by 3/13/17, but these days they are pretty good about loading them very quickly. It increases confidence in the accuracy of the Rewards program when things are done quickly and efficiently 🙂

After 2PM Starbucks Rewards Challenge Returns (YMMV)

The “After 2pm local time” promotion is back at Starbucks Rewards. This is a YMMV offer, and you have to manually join in the offer before it starts tracking. Look for the right button to press in your email or in the official Starbucks app.

Like before, you have to make 4 or 6 purchases after 2pm local time between February 21-27 in 2017 at their stores. They need to be separate transactions, not separate days. If you do four of those, you get 50 Bonus stars, but if you do six or more, you get 100 bonus stars. This is a one time use promotion, so whether you have six purchases or one thousand purchases, you will only get 100 bonus stars – during this promotional period.

T-Mobile Tuesdays add a new twist: Free Papa John’s Carryout Pizza within the next four weeks

UPDATE 3/4/17: It turns out the Papa John’s locations near me are closed, so I can’t do this promotion. But I took the screenshots for you. When it’s your turn, you will have an extra block in your Tuesday freebies announcing that it’s your turn. This is per line, so be sure to check all your lines!

As you can see in the screenshots below, you have the whole seven days to redeem this, you don’t have to rush on Tuesday like the crazy old Domino’s offer when the Tuesdays program launched.

Here is a close-up of the terms and conditions and nuances. Unfortunately I can’t do this offer, so I have no further insight:

UPDATE 2/28/17: it looks like the FREE Pizza is randomly offered on a per line basis, not a per account basis. One of my two lines got a free pizza, the other one didn’t. I will update with screenshots and details after I redeem the offer later on. The other nice thing about the free pizza is that you can redeem it throughout the week, in this case until 3/6/17. So by doing this, they are avoiding the chaos that befell Domino’s when every single T-Mobile customer got a free pizza on a single day. With this approach, it is spread out over 28 days.

Very smart move ~ because if it works well for all parties, they will do more. Domino’s got scared out of it and stopped doing it.

ORIGINAL POST

T-Mobile has a new twist in their Tuesday freebies. Instead of everybody getting the freebie on the same date, T-Mobile customers will be randomly split into four groups. For the next four Tuesdays (February 14, 21, 28 and March 7), about 1/4th each week will get a free Papa Johns pizza. You have to check the app every Tuesday to see which one is your Tuesday.

The freebie is pretty good, a large one-topping or pan pizza, with online carryout and online order placement. I am assuming this freebie is one per line, and if so, you may want to check all your T-Mobile lines if you have more than one line in your account.

This is the first time they split the offer in four, so we are in new territory. This is however a good idea, because the previous times they tried a pizza promotion (with Domino’s), the pizza company complained they were getting overwhelmed by hungry T-Mobile customers. So hopefully the 4-part split will make things easier for all parties involved (easier for us to get the freebies too!).

12pk Health Warrior Protein Bars for $13

They are more famous currently for their small Chia bars, but they have also added to their line-up with the bigger “Health Warrior” bars. These are closer to the standard protein bar size range, with more nutrition to with them (10g protein). And the “Dark Chocolate Cococut and Sea Salt” flavor is currently on sale for just a bit over $13 for the 12-pack at amazon.com. Or if you fond of “Subscribe and Save”, you can get it for an additional discount. This is currently the lowest price of the flavors, and in my opinion, the better tasting 🙂
