Certified Preowned Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $240 with coupon (T-Mobile)

Note temptations! Without a contract. Certified pre-owned. Okay, let’s start from the beginning. Coupon code CPO60 (CPO for Certified Pre Owned) is a $60 off discount on the current price of the certified pre-owned Samsung Galaxy Note 3 at the T-Mobile website. This drops it from $300 to $240.

That’s yours to keep, no contract, no payments if you pay the full $240 upfront. If you are a new customer, their shopping cart will automatically add a $15 SIM Starter Kit to your shopping cart, and it won’t let you remove it. Not a very Uncarrier thing to do 🙂

This phone came out during the reign of Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean), and has a Snapdragon processor, with 3GB RAM, 32GB on-board plus microSD slot, the all-important S-Pen, and things like that.

3-port Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 42W USB wall charger for $12 w/coupon

The previously mentioned $6 USB travel charger is a pretty good deal if you don’t need Quick Charge 2.0, but if you need it, we got you covered too. For a limited time, Aukey Direct on Amazon is offering coupon code 2GXWZ585 ($11 off discount) on the purchase price of their 3-port Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 42W USB wall charger. The current price is $23 minus $11 = $12. It is fulfilled by Amazon, so if you are a Prime member, you get free shipping.

NOTE: only one of the three ports is Quick Charge 2.0 (the orange port). The other two (green) are AI power but not Quick Charge.

NOTE #2: the review average over there is not reflective because there are three different products cross-linked on the same product page. About half of the 280+ customer reviews are for this model. There’s no automated way to calculate the average, but you can filter for this particular product – here is the filtered list of reviews.

After 2pm: 25% PSL or Toasted Graham Latte with coupon (one time use)

Starbucks continues to usher out new promotions for their Rewards members. This new promotion runs September 29 thru October 5 in 2015, but only after 2pm local time each day. This offer gets you 25% off either a Pumpkin Spice Latte (“The PSL”) or a Toasted Graham Latte (regardless of size). You need a promo code for this offer, you have to show or mention promo code 2574 when you redeem it. This is a one time offer per Starbucks email.

I guess “The PSL” is too popular for them to allow the coupon to be used multiple times 🙁

Sept 10-14: Free Small Drink with select Food Items

The fall promotions are rolling in faster now, it’s harvest season after all, and the halloween candy are blooming on every aisle 🙂 Good between September 10 until the close of business on Monday September 14 in 2015, at Peet’s stores, this new coupon (sent to customers in their email list but good for everyone) offers you a free Small Hot or Cold drink when you purchase an eligible food item (it has to be a salad or pastry or oatmeal or other fresh items). You don’t have to print it, show it on mobile, or just mention it to the barista.

Sept 8-14: 25% off lunch item for Starbucks Rewards members

If you are a Starbucks rewards member, check your email or your app inbox. There’s a new promotion circulating for their Rewards members that gets you 25% off the purchase of any lunch item. Eagle eyed readers may have noticed something off with the above screenshot. Yes, *spoiler alert*, they mistyped “lunch” as “luch”. Which humanizes Starbucks, they are not a giant coffee robot after all 🙂

20% on new Roku if you have a registered Classic (old Roku player made from May 2008-2011)

If you have one of the older Roku boxes, what they call a “Classic” Roku box, made between May 2008 and May 2011, you may qualify for a 20% off discount towards the purchase of a new Roku box. The dates are manufacturing dates, not purchase dates. The reason for this is that Roku will no longer actively develop or update the older players, so they are trying to encourage customers to upgrade.

IF you are eligible for this offer, check the email address you used to register that old Roku box. They will have sent an email with this title: “Important notice for owners of classic Roku players (made before May 2011).”

Both the coupon code and the url found in the e-mails are unique to each email subscriber, so you can’t use the coupons unless you have been sent one.

The Classic Roku players that will no longer be updated are:

  • Roku HD (2000C), Roku HD (N1100), Roku HD-XR (N1101, N1000)
  • Roku XDS (2100X), Roku XD (2050X)
  • Roku SD (N1050)
  • Netgear XDS (NTV270), Netgear XD (NTV250)

You can find the relevant parts from that email pasted/posted after the jump…

Free shipping with $25+ order at Peets with coupon

Good until the end of day on September 1st in 2015, the following coupon codes (see screenshot below) can get you free shipping at the Peet’s Coffee website. This is a great opportunity to score some of their house brand teas as they are replacing them with the Mighty Leaf branded teas (they purchased Mighty Leaf earlier in the year).

Staples Stores only: $100 off Clearance PCs with $200+ regular price

Good until the close of business on Saturday August 29, 2015, at Staples brick and mortar stores only (not their website), you can get (via coupon) $100 off on clearance computers regularly priced $200 or more. The “regularly priced” is crucial here, it means something can have a current price under $200 but still be eligible for the coupon. This means you can get some really good deals, but the big IF here is whether they have any computers available in-store that fit the bill.

Since this is a brick and mortar only promotion, it is a big YMMV, and I obviously cannot magically check the clearance inventory of every single Staples store 🙂 You can find the coupon at the Staples coupons website. You don’t have to print it, just load the page on your smartphone or take a screenshot with the coupon number visible so the cashiers can enter it.

Aug 27-31 at Peets: FREE small Mayan Mocha or Pumpkin Latte with Food Purchase

Starbucks is not the only one running special promotions. At Peet’s Coffee stores, between August 27 and 31st in 2015, you can get a small Mayan Mocha or Pumpkin Latte for FREE if you purchase it together with a pastry or oatmeal or fresh food item. You can show the email or simply mention the offer to the cashier. That’s right friends, Fall Season is officially here 🙂 The new flavors can be used on any drink, just ask the barista. But this particular promotion is for these two drinks. You can use it as many times as you like during this promotion.

Double ExtraBucks on online CVS purchases (exp 8/29/15)

If you are part of the CVS Rewards program (they call them ExtraBucks), until 8/29/15, they have a special promotion that gets you double the ExtraBucks rewards on orders placed on their website. The usual percentage is 2%. With this offer, they become 4%. In parallel, to encourage the online shopping and use of this promotion, they have coupon SAVE25 that gets you 25% off an order of $49 on more placed at their website.

Teavana: Free Shipping with coupon, plus handful of 2oz loose leaf teas for $2 to $4

Good until 8/31/15, coupon code UNWIND gets you free shipping at Teavana. Since you get free shipping without a minimum purchase requirement, this is a perfect time to visit their clearance sale page where you can find 2oz of loose leaf teas ranging from $2 to $4. Flavors include blends such as the “Slimful Chocolate Decadence Oolong Tea” (which sounds quite reasonable at $2.75) to crazy things like “Tomato Lime Cocktail Herbal Tea” ($2).

Other 2oz clearance loose-leaf teas on that page as of the time of writing:

  • Pumpkin Spice Brulee Oolong Tea for $3.25
  • Chocolate Chai Black Tea for $3.25
  • ToLife White Tea for $3.25
  • Orange Chocolate Sweet Spice Herbal Tea for $4
  • they have reviews and ratings on their product page if you are trying to decide which ones of these (from a tea purist perspective) abominations to try 🙂

Staples and GAP cross-promotional coupons: $25 off $50+ at GAP and 20% off at purchases with purchase at each other’s stores

Staples and GAP have two conditional cross-promotional coupons. Let me explain. If you make a purchase at Staples brick and mortar stores, their cash register spits out a receipt coupon where coupon code STAPLES gets you $25 off an order of $50 or more at the GAP website or their brick and mortar stores. On the other hand, if you make a purchase at GAP, they will get you a coupon for 20% off your regularly priced purchase at Staples. Isn’t it nice when retailers get along as if this was a rosy 50s movie? 😉

The promotions will be spitting out from their respective cash registers until 8/22/15. You have until 8/29/15 to use the coupon codes. A variety of terms and conditions apply as usual.

Free PrimePantry Shipping with purchase of 4+ qualifying items (choice from 100+ options)

In addition to the previously mentioned coupon and order credit offers, Amazon has yet another Prime Pantry offer. This one gets you free shipping when you purchase four or more of these items. Shipping is typically $6 flat per box. This is a fairly flexible offer, there are probably close to 200 different items eligible for the promotion (I am guestimating based on the rows of widgets over there). It includes a variety of consumables and household good that should make it easy to find four items that are useful enough and at a reasonable price to trigger the free shipping.

Speaking of which, separately, they have a number of coupons that are specifically designed for Prime Pantry products. Again, because Amazon is trying to make a push for this relatively new service, you may get better discounts than usual.
